Bad Ranking
Hohoho, nowadays our ranking are dropping tremendously when you're inactive or less active in the WA community. Does this mean there are lot of new members joining in? What do you think?

Jimmy (accad) says it best and Rich gives it straight from the top. That's all the answer you need!
The ranking is competitive. If you slack and others work they climb and you go down. The only way to get rank is to be active all day long and every day so you earn points and when somebody gets inactive that will be your time to go up.
Totally agreed. Be and stay active in the community will keep you in good ranking. Active in the sense of following the rules.
I think it's a bit half and half. As you climb up the ranks at WA, you have to do more to stay up there because the higher you go, the more you are competing against people who are contributing every day.
Judging by the flood of people who join each day (the long line of welcome new members etc) they are joining at the back, so I think that does hold some weight but not as much as we would think...

It does have to do with comparative 'busyness'!
You help many people and someone else helps more, they go up in rank and you could go down.
