Do You Know About The 8th of March?
I'm curious, because I hear so many people never heard of this day.
I think it's important to give attention to this day.
What do you think?
Shall we go on and celebrate
Or should we delete it?
Alright...5 more days
Please share your idea's...
Thanks,
Kit

8th of March this year is a Wednesday, which is the day we collect our 5 year old twin grandchildren from school, take them for tea and have some (fairly) intelligent conversation!
So.... I am not remotely interested (for one day only) in the political shenanigans going on in the US, UK, or indeed anywhere else on the planet.

The dir4ect answer to your question is probably one of the below-listed ones:
International Womens Day
The day before my Wife's birthday, so I gotta make sure I get to the store...
It is the only March 8th in the WHOLE year, so celebrate it!
(I am, of course, psychologically and emotionally prepared to accept I am wrong!)

If this turns out like last month when there was the day without immigrants, then a lot of women could get fired. I would not participate in this at all. No reason in this world would keep me from taking care of my family, doing what I should do, going to work and being completely satisfied with my life. I am blessed right now with my life. "Day Without Women" as some call it is not for everyone.
What if a mother takes her child to daycare and they are participating in this march? She could lose her job.
I could go on with a lot of more scenarios but I think you understand where I am coming from.
If someone wants to do this I do hope they see who else this might affect in a negative way.
I have no problem with anyone who wants to take off on this day. That is their choice.
I don't mean for my response to this post to be negative but just saying that what one person does, thinking she is doing something right, could have a very bad and negative reaction for another person.
Kit,
This is an important day for sure. Just saw my sister who went to hear Gloria Steinem speak last night in California . Thanks for sharing.

International Women Are Awesome Day...that is my guess. Always a day to celebrate, but this should be celebrated each and every day in my opinion!
Veel mimosa's voor al de vrouwen !
Alle dagen !
