Getting Into the Rhythm

If you don't already know, these past few weeks have been a struggle for me. But this week things seem to be coming around for me. No, I still haven't made any money, but my website (my woodworking one) is really starting to come together for me.

I feel like I have really gotten into a rhythm of posting my plans and having downloadable plans too. For some reason adding the downloadable plans are what has spurred this rash of activity on my part. You would think just the opposite would have happened and I would be feeling overwhelmed.

Instead, because of not having to have all of the step-by-step directions on my download page, it makes it simple to simply display the finished product and talk about how my visitor's lives would be enhanced by being able to build these projects themselves. And of course on my posts that does have the step-by-step directions, I post a link taking them to where for a small fee ($1.50 US), they can get a printable PDF form. Won't get rich from this, but it does make me feel more professional.

I have so many plans I want to share with everyone, and it seems like I am moving at a snails pace. However, now that I have a rhythm going, I have been adding at least one new project a day. That means in a month or two I will have over a hundred different plans I can share.

When I look at in in the long run, I can see how only adding one or two projects a day can add up to a lot of content! It also makes me think that eventually I will need to put in some sort of gallery, where they can click on the picture and have it take them to that project and eventually to the download page. Right now I just have the drop-down menus, but right now, I have less than 20 projects so it is OK.

Even though I haven't made a dime yet, I am so thankful to have found Wealthy Affiliate, because I do believe with their help, I am getting a new leash on life.

I think your right. Its a lot of work now but I do believe it will pay off in more ways than one. Its nice to have all your work in one place too and being more organized. Sometimes I feel I'm writing my memoirs in away, with all the different people I've treated and all the different massages and approaches I took to get people back to their best. I have to admit it feels great for me getting it on a site and continues to remind me of person-centered care rather than any general care. If all the work reminds me and makes me work at my best then I'm sure it works for others too. When I have more of a foundation built here I'll look forward to making something out of wood for my creative time and I'm sure schools, rehab centers, youth groups, hospital day centers, and men's shed projects and might be interested too!!
Regards Sinead.

Thank you, how you feel while working on your websites is I think the most important thing of all! If we don't feel good about what we are doing, then we don't put good content out, and the little changes or dip in quality starts to take its toll on your website.

It seems the key is persistence and effort and it looks as though you've got that coming together really well. Create the value for people first and then the money will follow.

Kind regards,

Steve

HI Barbara, give it time and it will all come together. Irv.

Greetings Barbara,

Finding that "rhythm" is important, I'm glad you found yours. Most people come to this platform to make money, but it's great that you can enjoy yourself during the process. I believe that when that joy is there, the money will folllow.

Great job Barbara!!!

It sounds like you have finally found a technique that work well for you Barbara. Keep up the good work. The money part will come in time. I am really happy for you.
Jerome

Does anyone ever make a dime?

Of course they do. I have been doing this for less than 3 months and my woodworking website for less than 2 months. It will come together.

Hello Barbara, once you get rolling keep up the momentum. It should eventually pay off. Keep up the training. Having the website is only the beginning.
