When You Find Out Your Normal Lifestyle Is Called "Quarantine"
You might have seen this corona virus meme in social media, but I made my own version of it (with a unicorn). I can so relate to this meme!
So, Finland is in lock down too now; schools are closed, libraries are closed, gyms are closed, borders are closed... But all this affects me and my husband less than most people, because we are hermits and we don't have kids (just pet snails :) ).
To be honest, I don't even have to change my normal lifestyle, so I was surprised to hear my normal lifestyle is called "quarantine". :D
No, I'm not in quarantine, but obviously social life is restricted in the current situation. But then, my social life was restricted before the corona pandemic too. I'm a total introvert and I have Asperger's syndrome, so I'm uncomfortable around new people and I have bad hypersensitivity to noise.
I like traveling from time to time (obviously, traveling is banned now, as borders are closed), but I'm very comfortable at home. I rarely attend any social events, parties etc. Too exhausting.

I'm never bored at home, I always have interesting things to do. I'm perfectly happy spending time on my own, focusing on my special interests.
Even though I live with my husband, I often lock into my own room to do my own things. I really need to be alone in quiet to be able to concentrate, so I go to my room with my headphones and close the door. My husband is OK with that.
Of course, I am concerned for some relatives and friends. My niece is just 2 years old, so I am concerned.
But me and my husband are fine with the situation. Being an introvert comes handy now! And we live in the countryside, taking walks outdoors like normally is safe. There are hardly any people around. So, no problem as long as I can still get some fresh air.
Grocery stores and pharmacies are open, so we have access to necessities. Actually I'm gonna go tomorrow. Might be even more pleasant to visit grocery store with fewer people there.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my side of the current pandemic. But if someone out there is struggling, I wish you strength. Keep safe everyone!

hi,
and thank you for the shared info
on Finland situation for the Covid-19
Here in Australia we still have all open as usual, and we are free to go wherever we want, don't know for how long .....
no more than 100 people can gather, all concerts and festivals etch are banned or postponed and from tomorrow all visitors are banned to enter Australia!
wow!
The Australian Government has already put in place two stimuli (money hand out) to help people and business
so few things are changed here to
have a good day
Hi,
Thank you for sharing the situation in Australia! It's not as strict as here at the moment, then. Here gatherings of more than 10 people are banned, so basically all gatherings.
Hi Kira. Like you, I spend a lot of time at home with my guy, but we are not quarantined. We are in the age group they recommend staying home as much as possible, but we do go out for groceries, and to run a few errands now and then. Stay safe.
We're not in quarantine either. We can go for groceries etc. but now it is advised for everyone to avoid unnecessary "hanging out" in public places. People over the age of 70 are in quarantine. So they must not even go for groceries, but people younger than 70 can still go for groceries. People who come home from abroad now must be in quarantine for 2 weeks.
Like you this isolation hasn’t changed my daily life at all. I work from home and only go out to walk my dog, this is normal for me. I’m an introvert, and a bit of a germaphobe, so all this sanitizing is fine with me. The thing that has affected me is that I can’t get my haircut, but that’s minor lol. I hope that you stay safe!
This sounds as if you were talking about my life, Kirsti :) I live with my boyfriend in the countryside too, I can have a long walk with our dog every morning without any restrictions. Lucky, we!
And you are right, being an introvert comes handy now :)
Oh, I'm so happy to hear that, Lenka! We don't have a dog (can't take our snails for a walk, except in the summer :D), but otherwise your lifestyle sounds very similar to mine.

I am with you Kirsti. I am perfectly fine staying home too. The same as you we live out in the Country and we can get fresh air without going into crowds. I have lots to do and keep myself busy all day, 7 days a week. My husband doesn’t like the staying at home part too much. Unfortunately he has to now. Hopefully for him this is over sooner or later.
With gratitude
Jeannette
Thank you for your comment, Jeannette! Happy to hear you are also doing fine at home in the country. ^^
