Of Increases and Decreases
I haven't been around for a while, or at least what I consider a while. I've been extremely busy, both with clients and working on my blog. I'll catch you up with what I've been doing so far.
- I made a very detailed plan about the direction I want my blog to go in, and how I want to achieve my goal.
- I added an email list sign-up form to my website.
- I've been networking with other bloggers on Twitter. They are all so sweet and helpful. I'm learning a lot about using Twitter and how to grow my blog with Twitter from them. They all said Twitter is the best platform to use to grow your blog. I can see why, so I'm probably going to focus more on using that social media platform than the other ones.
- I decided to only update my blog once a week. I want to do it three times a week but I don't have time. So now I only update on Mondays.
I've been working so hard I don't even have time for gaming! Last night was the first time I played a video game in 7 days. For me, that's an eternity. But I'm willing to make the sacrifice so that I can achieve my goal. Once I get there, I'll have much more time for hobbies. Until then, I'm going to be working hard.

I'm glad you mentioned Twitter. I'm not much for social media & promotions, but I've been toying with working Twitter to see if it would be productive. Thanks.
No problem.
I think once you get past the character limit and learn how to use it, it can be a really great tool to grow your blog audience. Mine has grown a bit and I've only been using it for about a week.
Good to hear from you Kinya!
It's definitely good to post at least once a week on your blog. The more you can the better because it provides Google more ways to find and rank you.
I'm glad you added email to your marketing effort. You want to capture some of the traffic you'll get from Google so you can bring people back to your site that will probably only visit once. At least now every time you have a new article you can contact your list to drive them back to your site. It's very powerful.
Don't spend too time on twitter or social media. The same amount of time can be spent writing articles that will help you get traffic that you can capture with your email list now. Social media is ok. But you'll find that SEO and email marketing will far outperform them in the long term.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Eddy.
I actually schedule my tweets now. I use Hootsuite, which was recommended by my Twitter buddies. So I'm not on social media unless I absolutely have to be, like during a Twitter chat session. Otherwise, I skip out or I'll check in once a day to reply to or nudge people. It can be a huge time suck, so learning balance is the key.
Most of my time is spent working for clients though. I'm going to be going on vacation a lot in the next four months, so I gotta make that money. :)

"If you are willing to do today what other's wont, tomorrow you will be able to do what others can't". Wise words, the only thing is I wish I had said it bit I keep reminding myself of this as I work here on WA and hope they inspire you too!
Thanks dear. They are inspiring. I'll keep them in mind when I'm lamenting over my lack of frequent gaming.
