4.5 Months and 3 Sites Later
It’s been a very long while since I wrote my last blog on WA. I have gained so much knowledge and experience over the last couple of months. I’ve been on WA for 4.5mo. I must say, when I first came aboard, I was quite aggressive and due to lack of knowledge and experience with WA, I broke quite a few rules. I’ve learned a lot since then and made tons of progress.
Being a disabled Veteran with grown children, all I have is spare time. I have spent countless times investing 18 or more hours a day into my online education and it has definitely paid off. I must admit, I really over did it. I practically burnt out several times and experienced some downtime because I tried to do too much too fast. I had too high of expectations for myself and when I didn't get the results I wanted... I nearly quit. This type of money making method was way beyond me when I first came on board. I didn't actually fully understand it until just recently. So don't feel down or discourage from lack of results... it really does take time. I believe I am an exception. I do not know this for sure. I'm just assuming because I doubt the majority of WAs are jobless and have no responsibilities. Now... I do run a family of 6, including a little 9 month old grandson, but I've been very blessed to have successfully raised a family where absolutely everyone chips in and I am left with all kinds of time to find ways to bring in the money. So remember when you read my results, that I have been able to dedicate myself 1000% to this mission with a full 24hrs in a day to accomplish something.
Picking up where I left off from my last blog… My first niche site cannabisholism.com is now averaging 2-3K per month and I’m very happy with the results. I don’t see too many people post their results, so I hope I’m not breaking another rule I somehow overlooked. I am not sure if that is very good or not, but for the countless hours I’ve invested selling my own products, I’m pleased.
Keep in mind… this is not profit from affiliate marketer percentages. I took a niche I love and am selling products I drop-ship directly to the customer. Profits are pretty amazing, but there is tons of front end investment and order management, not to mention customer follow-up. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you were like me and didn’t really grasp the affiliate concept. It really took me some time to understand how to monetize a website through Affiliate Marketing. My understanding is that it takes much longer to produce these kind of results. However, drop-shipping, order management and customer follow-up is basically like running your own home-based business, but on the Internet. I talk directly with customers because I consult and recommend products according to their medicinal needs. I took much of the WA training with regards to blogging pertinent content and customer outreach and implemented it in my drop-ship biz.
My 2nd site (www.onlinemoneymaker.xyz) was my first attempt at affiliate marketing advertising products on how to make money online and an overview of WA. I managed to build a large list of subscribers, but I was very new to the game and couldn’t very well tell anyone how to make money online when I hadn’t even turned a dime. Still haven't made anything with this site and I don't expect to for awhile. Now… I am much more qualified to tell how to make money in the way that I have, but still not as an affiliate. I will eventually revisit this site and drastically manipulate it with what I've learned. I have a much better understanding of WA, Affiliate Marketing, and blogging profitable content that I am confident I can now monetize as an internet affiliate marketer.
Much time has passed since I started and I greatly understand the Affiliate Marketing concept and am more than ready to generate a profitable Affiliate Marketing site. I have gained enough experience, that I was able to create a fully functioning monetizable, primarily Amazon Affiliate, site with blogging and product reviews and similar products that change periodically and are offered automatically by Amazon’s aStore feature. I actually shocked myself because I was able to generate the fully operational site with my first blog and 1 product review within 24hrs of work. I’m not a professional web developer by any means, but if you get the chance, check out my 3rd site at www.covertwifi.com and see what you think.
I didn’t develop my first site completely on my own. I didn’t know much about WP and the myriad of plugins I am now intimately familiar with. I paid $500 to have it developed. Knowing what I know now, I wish I would’ve spent a little time googling WP. Much info is on the Internet, so learning it wouldn’t have been impossible even for a newby like myself. I didn’t get on WA until after the first month of my site being live. I’m so glad I joined and went premium because WA and its members really helped me build strong keywords and content for my blogs.
One thing I truly lack, is knowledge of Google Analytics. It is a very powerful tool and I find it so very hard to understand. So much of it is completely Greek to me. I have read tons of info online and watched many training videos from Google. I still have a very long way to go to fully understand how to utilize the tool and gain value from its plethora of data. Tons of info exists on the topic, it’s just going to take quite some time to fully understand it.
Hope you gained something from taking your personal time to ready my blog. Thank you for your precious life energy and good luck to you all. I know so many people have much more knowledge and experience than I do, but if I have anything you find of value and you want to know or understand it, don’t hesitate… send me a PM. Take care all!

Very interesting to share another's business concept! You have used your time well!
Congratulations for finding a way that works for you.
Thanks
Sami
Thx mj. I was wondering how it compared to the population. I know some people are doing absolutely amazing. Can't wait to get there.
Congratulation Kings! You are such an inspiration :) People usually post their first sale result, but not too many of them post how much they made after. I think posting about results is not breaching any rule here, so feel free to post and brag about it.
For beginner, you may want to watch Jay's video about Google Analytic: Beginner's Guide to Google Analytics Good luck and keep up your good work :)
Cheers,
Ferdinand
Thanks Ferdinand... you're always a delight to hear from. Thanks for keeping an eye on me. I really appreciate the Analytics training video... beginner is just what I need. I wasn't sure about posting results. I don't know if I've ever read a blog where someone posts their revenue stream after their first sale, so I really wasn't sure if I was doing above or below average. I have been working tirelessly and actually way too hard. I never actually gave myself a break and almost burnt out a couple of times. Fortunately, after being sick of working a few days to a couple of weeks, I somehow mustered up more strength and pushed through. Take care of yourself and I can't wait to see your new website!
Sure Kings :) Don't worry, you are really good to go. Yes I'll let you know when it is available. Have a nice day Kings.
Congratulations on your progress Cory! I'm currently a student and have to factor in my degree work as well as WA ambitions. For that reason, I'm only using one website for the moment but hope to see some earnings - as a symbol of what can be achieved - soon.
Thanks for your post and all the best for the future!
Hope your understanding of google analytics improves soon!
Axel
Hey thx Axel. You're welcome. And Ya.. Most people don't have the kind of time on their hands as I do. At a students time availability, 8-12 months of spare time building will likely generate similar results. I appreciate the Google Analytics encouragement. Good luck to yourself.
Thanks so much, I was hoping that delay would be less but thanks for your honesty. After I graduate in 4 months I will be more available to work on WA.
Look forward to seeing more of your progress!
