Warning to all "YouTubers"! Google will discontinue Annotation on May 2nd
Google will discontinue the use of the ANNOTATION Editor on May 2nd, 2017.
Existing Annotations will remain but can't be edited anymore only deleted.
The reason is that over 60% of YouTube users are coming from mobile devices and this can't be no longer ignored.
I have provided a link, from Google, announcing it so you can read it for yourself.

I had huge problems in the beginning when staring creating videos to use the tool of Annotation, but Marion Black had made such an awesome training video and all my "fear" just went away. :)
Now I am good at it but there will be no use for it anymore. LOL, how time can change.
Cards and End Screen will remain and has been improved as well.
Have a great weekend
Love

Good to know...still have to start doing video, but was going to be doing so soon hopefully, so I'm glad you shared this. It'll be something I won't have to worry about doing then if it's going to be discontinued. Thanks for sharing!
Best wishes :) ~Sherry
Darn. I am bummed... but I'm glad you posted this. I liked using annotations as hotspots to link to my website and Google Plus pages. Guess we'll just have to wait and see if Youtube replaces annotations with something else or...?
Well, they already have introduced End Screen and Cards. I don't think there will be much else more.
Google and Youtube are in a heap of trouble right now in the UK. One of the worlds largest marketing firms has dropped all service with both.
Their ads have been placed right alongside ads from extremeist groups (some that fund terrorism) and the UK is not happy.
This includes government ads from UK .gov websites.
It's definitely a story to keep up on.
