My Son-A Life Milestone?
Well, I have hit another milestone in my life! I am not really sure if this is a milestone that I would like to ride out, but I know I have too!
My oldest, firstborn son is a high school senior. I have so many feeling going on! I know so many people have been in my shoes, but these are my shoes! Every time I think about him actually leaving my house and entering college it makes me sad, happy, excited, curious, and fulfilled. I know, I know I have to let him go and allow him to learn the "adult" life, but he will always be my first born!
Before you say it because I know some of you are thinking it, I am going to let him learn life lessons, but I will always be there to help guide him. Besides he is only 17!! Think about it, a 17-year-old really is not an adult!
I believe that his dad and I have been great role models for him and prayerfully he will use these lessons when the time comes. Having his father in his life is such a huge plus. This brings me comfort!
I'm sure I will have a mixture of feeling until he actually graduates, right now I am a bit emotional!
I know he will be okay, I know I will be okay!

I was Seventeen and I had a fulltime job when I was in school. Then after school was over I had two Full-time Jobs and two part-time jobs. I bought my first brand new in less than six week. Paid cash for it. $3400 olds cutlass.
Kesha,
I raised two boys we do our best and must let them fly when
the time comes I am sure with the fine job you and your
husband have done all will turn out just right :)
You are very welcome with a beautiful mother like you
seriously you have nothing to worry about :)
Hello Kesha, what you and your husband have done is to let him know there will always be a safety net should he stumble during life’s lessons. By the sounds of it you have brought him up right and provided good advice.
The best you can do is to be a great role model and help him to make good decisions.
They usually will turn out OK. But it is often hard to watch them make their mistakes.
Now is a really good time to get him started with WA. He can learn skills that will take him a long way in life.
