Akismet no longer needed when hosting with Wealthy Affiliate

For quite a while now I have had Akismet installed on my main blog. Found out today from a couple of our helpful members it is not required.I also deleted exclude pages and now have 100% rating in WA.

I have just installed it a few weeks back.
What happen if I keep it?
If you have hosting with WA, it is not required.
I did to and it cost me $36. But that don't matter i will uninstall?
