Does this look like your desk at home or in your 'person cave,' or in your study or perhaps in your library?

Well, it's a good thing!

hello dear Wealthy Affiliate writers, book lovers, readers, wordsmiths, bloggers, creators of words, editors, proof-readers, avid readers . . .

this post is to encourage you to read more --- it's also for readers and it's about ideas for word creation!

Are you a person who loves books and are reading them?

If yes, then, you are likely more successful than most other people in this world.

Do you want to know why?

Keith Stanovich, (specialist in applied psychology and human development), cites that frequent reading typically results in β€œpositive cognitive consequences.”

In other words, meaning, you're obviously strengthening your mind each day and acquiring more knowledge when you pick up reading as a longer-term hobby over the years.

And get this, readers are often much more successful in their careers as a result.

And the simple reason is here's why: "They write well."

That, folks, apparently, was Stanovich's findings.

What do you think about his findings? ... your opinion? ...

Whew! ... glad i read the entire library as a kiddie ... lots of laughs & enjoy it all ! ...

being a 'book-worm' has its rewards....

Here are a few quips for your reading enjoyment:

**"A reader lives a thousand lives before he/she dies. The (person) who never reads live only one."** George R. R. Martin, novelist, (1948 - ).

**"Read a thousand books and your words will flow like a river"**.

Virginia Woolf, writer, (1882-1941).

*"Willpower is like a muscle, the more you train it, the stronger it gets."* Anonymous.

And the same goes for brain power!

The morale of the story here is to READ More, books, journals, magazines, ebooks, lyrics, news, poems, technical textbooks .... pretty much anything! .... even T-Shirt sayings can furnish notes of 'inspiration' that can lead to your next blog idea . . . lol . . . .

Or scan a library of books by section .... ideas abound ....

Or take a stroll, meander, walk, through the neighborhood, park ....

it's amazing of what can pop in at the top of mind for your next brainy book ...

enjoy a look around locally ...

we often take everyday things for granted, yet,

these same everyday things can hold gems that we've overlooked

just because they're there ...

isn't that the truth? ....

Enjoy a fabulous Sunny Sunday .... the sun shines 24/7 ....

... and enjoy your reading ... your words will flow more creatively and easily like a babbling brook ... "to write well" ....

Thanks & all the very best in reading and writing well,

cheerio ... :)

"The way to earn is to first and always be a learner." Tom Short.

"We are all a Genius in some way but no two people are the same and it is up to us to prove it not only to ourselves but be of value to all." Tom Short.

β€œYour education does not finish at school. Self-education is the best Education.” Tom Short.

Tom.

... yes, agree, 'Self-education is the best Education.' ...

as we might actually absorb what we learn ....

plus, 'experiential learning' is also helpful, in the sense, it sticks for a very long time afterwards, such as a once in a lifetime trip or travel or long-awaited dream vacation ....

life-long learning! .... let's enjoy it all ... cheerio ... βοΈπŸ˜‰πŸŽ‰ ...

.....

At 79 years of age and learning so I can keep my brain alive as I am losing a lot of friends with dementia.

... and learning a new language apparently is great for exercising the o' neurons upstairs .... as well as music! ... πŸ“šπŸ“‘πŸŽ΅πŸŽ‰...

I would heartily agree with both yours and the esteemed Keith Stanovich opinion and findings, respectively.
I have met a few people who have never picked up a book since their school days and it makes me think that they have missed out on so much.
Our minds work like that of a screenwriter, creating the characters, moods, ambience and locales from the words we read on the page (or screen). It's like watching a movie with subtitles, all going on in glorious technicolour, in our heads.

*** yes, absolutely, Twack! .... what a delight to see you on this wonderful Sunday ....

.... it's very interesting of how the use of language and the learning of a new language powers up our brains like nothing else! .... well, maybe, except music ....

.... happy to enjoy a wee chit-chatter with you ...

keep well, stay strong ... βοΈπŸ˜‰πŸŽ΅πŸŽ‰ ... ***

Ah, music gets me like nothing else. It can reduce me to a gibbering wreck within seconds.
Favourite movie soundtrack, Gladiator. Han Zimmer combined with Lisa Gerrard create timeless auditory bliss, as does Fiddler on the Roof with Topol.

... enjoy it all ..... 🎡 ..... especially beautiful music for the ears!

*** note: as Fleekie has said, ' a book a day keeps the doctor away' and of course, add an apple a day, too! ...

books: πŸ“‘πŸ“˜πŸ“•πŸ“š .... apples: 🍎🍎🍎 ....

enjoy a beautiful Sunday, everyone! ... cheerio .... πŸ˜‰πŸŽ‰.... ***

Never was a truer word put in writing.

.... true! ..... cheerio .... βοΈπŸ˜‰πŸŽ‰ ....

I'm writing as fast as I can, Keisha!😲

.... yes, we know you run busy alot .... lol .... cheerio .... βοΈπŸ˜‰πŸŽ‰
