(Almost) Three Months Later: KWA's Progress & Further Goals

So it's been almost three months since I joined Wealthy Affiliate and started Kelby Writes Adventure. Where am I?

I have nine posts to date. I've made sure to get comments on each and every post and reply to each and every comment, and promote each post on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. There is a newsletter subscription section on my blog, and I'm busy on Twitter building a following. Meanwhile, I'm still planning a novel for NaNoWriMo next month, still reading up on 16th century Spain, and finishing The Adventures of Tom Sawyer for my review on the next post.

But there are things that are still hard. I'm still struggling to get the blog to the #1 page of results on Google, and nobody but a friend of mine has signed on the newsletter. I need to get on Yahoo and Bing's search results. And the Twitter following hasn't worked wonders because while my followers do see the tweets of my new posts, I don't know if they go and read the posts. They usually don't comment, or sign on to the newsletter.

But I know there are solutions to these problems and I'll keep finding solutions and going through the training.

So for now, my goals for the next three months are:

• Get KWA on Yahoo and Bing's search engine.
• Finish novel planning and get through NaNoWriMo with flying colors next month!
• Start posting on LinkedIn, too. (Can't believe I haven't posted there earlier!)
• Test the newsletter and fix any problems I find that might be keeping people from signing up for it.
• Improve my writing and expand my audience.

And my goals for the next six months:

• Rank #1 on Google, Bing, and Yahoo (finally!)
• Have a finished, solid draft of that novel and already be looking for an agent. It might take longer than six months to find an agent, let alone get published.
• Build a solid freelance writing career. I've barely started on Verblio, but will expand to other marketplaces. I just joined TextBroker and Fiverr, too.
• Get to a reading rate of at least two books per month.

...Well, now! Those goals seem specific enough! To everyone else, I congratulate you on your progress, whatever it may be! Whatever problems you're having, chances are I can empathize and hopefully help! Now to continue with the training for the first time in, oh, a few weeks or so.
