Where are the servers that WA uses for hosting our sites located? Does one have a choice on what server location one prefers? I've read the info here https://www.wealthyaffilia

Hosting details are here: https://www.wealthyaffiliate.com/hosting/

It doesn't really make sense to be hosted elsewhere if you're paying for a Wealthy Affiliate membership.

With regards to hosting location, you'd use a CDN if you're bothered about delivering content quicker in certain locations - that applies with any host.

Thanks Dale, you didn’t really read my whole query though ;) I have already seen the info on that link.

Virginia, USA is the location :)

Brilliant, thank you!

you don't get a choice where you are hosted
you don't get a cpanel as such - all you get is what you see in sitemanager
with it being a very secure system at almost every turn when you want an outside connection you need ot contact sitesupport
it can be very frustrating as they don't tell you what they have done all the time - so you are reliant on them to have done the work properly.
is it fast - the new 'beta' servers are - and as they are jumping into the independant hosting market this year it has to be to compete....
do you get all the choices tat an outside hosting service proovides - nope , it's one size fits all.
what i would recommend is to setup a test siterubix site and have a play with the environment and see if you like it or find it restrictive.
then maybe change the hosting on one of yuor sites - jsut the nameservers and see what you think of it when you get it here.
it does have good points ( you don't have to worry too much about anything technical) and bad points ( it feels like you have to ask teacher every time you want ot have an outside line)
but if you can cope with that it is not too bad.
good luck
phil
you can always move the site back if you only change the name servers if you are not happy - or even create a subdomain and try that here.

Thanks, a smart idea, I’ll make a test site and try it out!

I have two sited hosted at Kinsta. I like it there and don't want to move them. Is it possible to use the Site Comment function for sites that are hosted outside WA?

this is the reason that the comment thread was created for people who are happy with their current hosting and don't want to move the sites.
if you post you urls on here just remember rule 1 - comment on three other posts before asking for comments.

Hi, and thanks, I am using that thread. I think it's a problem though that comments are always exchanged between two sites. Google is smart and can perceive that as PBN-style commenting. I'd like to be able to leave comments on sites but have other random site owners leave comments on mine. That's how it automatically works in the Site Comments function, but it seems the trust needed for this to work in the Need website comments thread is too much of an obstacle.

totally agree and do refuse to partake in the 'ive given now i want one'
so mainly look for organic comments rather than forced ones....
i have reminded people about rule one - but as an ambassador at the time - got shouted at as using the coffee cup of power....so gave up - i was remindin people before that but was mostly ignored.
as you say google is more intelligent than it used to be so reciprocal comments are almost ignored....

Your website should be hosted here, we can help you move your websites from Kinsta. Not only is the service more advanced here, it is included in your membership.

This could save you lots of money and open you up to all the WA only website features that you can only access here within the platform.

If you want to transfer your websites over, our SiteSupport team can help you with this process.

Can you point me to where I can read about your hosting features? Kinsta is really good, so I need to know what WA hosting entails.

I take it then that the Site Comment function doesn't work for sites hosted outside WA?

I have a very large woocommerce dropship website hosted on Siteground. I've paid up to December but I have had some issues with warnings about using too many files (or something). I would like to move it over in another 6 months or so but are there limits on how big a site can be. I've asked your tech team but they didn't really answer me.
