Just dropping in to introduce myself to the community and share some of my story thus far here at Wealthy Affiliates! My name is katelynne ❤️
I became a premium member in July '22 and have enjoyed every aspect of the platform so far. This community is full of some very knowledgeable and helpful people and the training is super thorough and user friendly.
I got off to a good start with my website. I was totally surprised by getting indexed in Google within my first week as a member! After that, I sort of hit a snag and took a break. Life got hectic (mom of 3 littles) and I slowed down my pace here.
Good news though! A few weeks later and I'm back and putting my best foot forward and giving it all I've got. Hopefully I'll meet more amazing people along the way and become successful with my own business in the near future.
I'm so glad I decied to take the plunge and join Wealthy Affiliates. Thanks again for having me!

That's great progress, Katelynne. Presumably you mean you were indexed in Google within your first week. Ranking is completely different but follow the training and keep writing keyword rich blog posts and it will happen.
How embarrassing 😅 thank you for catching that mistake! All the new information I'm learning has my brain scrambled. It's a whole new world and I'm so happy to be apart of it!

Indexed simply means that your website's pages and posts appear in Google's database and can be found by their URLs. This happens automatically as Googlebot crawls the web but can be speeded up by using Google Search Console. Each page and post is indexed individually. There's no such thing as "the site". It's a collection of pages and posts.
Pages and posts are ranked for particular keywords/search terms. This is what you're striving for. So that your post comes up on page 1 when someone enters that keyword/search term.
