The most important thing about doing anything, especially building your own website is staying positive. When you are positive, your mind is free. Clarity gives you an open door to creativity which can lead to new ideas. Negativity is a force to be reckoned with because it can be hard to overcome. Allowing it in robs you of your true power and potential.
A friend once told me "there are no problems, only solutions" and I apply his words in my every day life. If you are negative, your problems will hold you back, control you, and/or defeat your purpose. No matter what, stay positive! By doing this, it allows your mind to be and free and clear so you can focus on solutions and the road ahead.
Staying positive is mandatory when building your own website because you are going to have some issues that will require solutions.
