Wishing for something better [What if?]

“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for fewer problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenge, wish for more wisdom.”

I am not sure who said the quote above, but I do believe it was the great, late Jim Rohn. If not him, surely it was someone who was influenced by him.

I often find myself wishing life was easier. I wish I didn't have to work so hard to become better.

I wish I didn't have so many difficulties and problems. I wish things were easier.

I wish life and work was less challenging. I wish it all was just easier.

But...

What if I started to DO better. What if I employed more skills in situations. What if I had and used more wisdom in dealing with the stresses of life?

What would happen if I stopped whining about the past and began to plan for the future with insight, skills and wisdom?

What would happen if I wrote to my blog visitors in such a way as to allow them to think of new solutions to their problems?

What if?

You see, it isn't just about me. It is about us. It is about people and all the wishing for easier lives, fewer problems and fewer challenges will not make these things happen.

What will make them happen is reaching out to others and helping them learn new skills, imparting wisdom not only when we blog, but when we speak to people in person.

Granted, it isn't easy. There are many challenges. But what do we have to lose? We are already sharing wisdom and truth. Make it go viral.

Sure Facebook and other social media platforms change things all the time. So what?

Amazon decides to change the rules or the payout or whatever? So what, join a different affiliate or write your own material.

We are only limited by our imaginations. In my imagination I can fly. What about you?

Best wishes for a fearless week!
Karin :)

Really great post!
It is true that we are responsible for our own success. We have the imagination big enough to create what suits us. You're right, it's useless to cry about our past or complain about new rules of this or that social network. We are the instrument of our success and if we succeed, it is because we have capitalized on our capacities and it is by thinking in this way that we will make of our life what we want to make of it.

Have a beautiful day!

Hi. Enjoyed your post! Have a great day.

Thanks Karin. Yes, I love that quote. It is on my desktop. Jim Rohn used it often. And I may stand to be corrected but, the words are what Mr. Earl Shoaf spoke to Jim when he was starting his career.

Another that spurs me on is,,,,,

May all your wishes come true: I'm thankful for everything I have.
I hope you're doing better with your diabetes Karin, God bless you.

Karin, yes, life is filled with lots of wishes and hopes. We are the only ones that can make it happen. My motto is: Good, better, best. Never let it rest until your good gets better and your better gets best!
Go for your dreams.
Joe

May all your wishes come true.

Some of the things for which I am grateful:

I am grateful for the life challenges I have faced and the resulting knowledge and wisdom I gained.

I am grateful for my family and the history we have created.

I am grateful for my health because it has enabled me to have family and challenges.

Sure,I can fly. I might take a nose dive, but I can fly. Some days I can't get my wings to open up much less spread, but I can fly. Karin you have such an imagination- don't lose it.

Hi! You are soooo right. Well said. Allday WA!
