This picture of a mother lifting her child is perfect. We don't know what the mother was feeling earlier in the day, but we can partially see her smile as she lifts her child. She is lifting someone else up and it is affecting her mood, too!
I love that about our jobs as bloggers. We can give an answer to someone that they may have been searching for a long time.
We get to lift them up and by so doing, it is a natural side effect that we will be lifted up, too.
When I give, what I receive back is so much more. I don't give because of that, although that would be a good reason. No, I give because if I can help even one person have a better life—even a better day—then it is worth it to me.
When I am feeling down—and it does happen from time to time—lifting another person up is all it takes to get me back on "solid ground."
When you are feeling down, what things have you done that have made you feel better? If not much is helping, try helping someone else and see what happens!

Hi Karin. I have always done volunteer work and found that to lift my spirits. In the last couple years, I have found that the positions available where I live now, are mostly to do cleanup and selling tickets at beer night. I could only do that for so long and got bored, so one night I was on the net and found this. I am still learning but look forward to knowing enough so that I can help people on these forums. I have always enjoyed helping people at every one of my jobs and at my children's schools. There is no better feeling than seeing a smiling face after you have helped someone.
I am glad you found WA! You are destined to help so many here! You have such a good spirit and that will help you become a success.

Im a super giving person. I'm always helping cats, I'm tenderhearted and it kills me to see poor ferals reproducing themselves to death. I am also known for being polite, apologizing when I get in the way, even when it's not my fault, because what's the point in placing blame over something so minor? I apologize and move on.
I have learned boundaries finally. I used to give so much and for people not worth it. I don't waste my time getting upset there too, I just don't help them anymore.
Positivity, helping people and especially animals means even broke, I love myself. It brings me joy.
So this is an excellent post!

Learning boundaries is a difficult process, but it sounds like you have done so. That is great! You don't have to be anyone's door mat.

I love my two adult cats most, but I take in orphaned and feral kittens to socialize or bottle feed. That way i get my kitten fix too :)
I'm getting a puppy fix this week. We are "fur babysitting" for one of my daughter's puppies while she is on vacation.

It is said to forget you troubles go help someone with theirs. I have always considered my self to be a fluffy cheerleader,.So, I love rooting for people. In my name if you drop one of the "R" and add another "E" it will be Cheery instead of Cherry. I remind myself of that all the time.

Suspended by Pinterest. For every step forward I take, I end up with three steps back. How can they suspend my account for "repetition and posting the same images" when I only have three pins - each for a specific post? Oh well. Stuff like that is not designed to create positivity. May have been hexed from the get-go. Rarely home to work on anything and probably not for another 3 weeks. So be it. May not be anything there when I get back to it.
Your WA material and blog you write will still be here when you are able to get back to it. Even though you may have been suspended by Pinterest it is not the end of the world. I had my Instagram account suspended and I have absolutely no idea why since I'd only made one generic post there! But we just have to keep moving forward. Things won't always be rosy, but just keep trying. You have a community here that will do what we can to help you!

Oh my... my apologies for somehow posting my rant to your blog post. Definitely, thought I was posting in an appropriate section and was obviously working on fumes that day.
Thanks for the moral support Karin! I know everyone at WA is here to help but it is frustrating as can be to have it all fall into place only to have it fall apart just as quickly under what is inexplicable reasoning.
Just remember, we are here for you. I have had many helpers as I began my journey and now continue it!

Yes I agree, helping others is a fantastic way of feeling better. Also if there is a mountain of work causing me to feel down or overwhelmed then I choose one small thing and get that done. The feeling of achievement helps brighten my mood. The other thing to do - SMILE. You cannot be angry and smile at the same time.
LOL! You got that right! You can't smile and be angry at the same time!
Helping others is a great thing to do especially when it's done without selfish ambition.
