In today's installment, we are going to look at the "real" world. This is the "meat" behind the Matrix. Remember, if you have not seen the movie The Matrix, there will be spoilers in this series of posts and some of it will not make much sense. (Nah, that's just you, Karin!!)

Recap

Neo has met Trinity and has now met Morpheus and the rest of the crew. He has taken the red pill and now has been introduced to the "real" world.

Welcome to the "real" world

In the movie The Matrix, when Neo is "reborn" into the real world, he has a difficult time accepting it. I mean, the "real" world as he has always known it was lived in the Matrix. As you will recall, Neo is older than most of the minds that are "saved" from the Matrix. This means that he is more set in his ways. His belief systems are more set. It is more difficult to accept that the Matrix is not real.

When he joins the crew in the real world, it is a dirty, grimy, shabby world. Their clothes are ratty and have holes in them. Things are dark and dank.

Probably not the kind of world anyone in their right mind would want to live in.

Herein lies the difficulty. The "real" world might be filled with dirt and disappointment, but it is real. You can see it, smell it, feel it. While the Matrix's made up world might feel, smell and look real, it is only an illusion.

What does this have to do with blogging or Wealthy Affiliate?

A lot, actually.

The "real" world of creation is a sometimes dirty, dark and dank place. We have to truly let go and sometimes explore places that are not well-known or frequently visited in order to bring quality to our posts and to our readers.

I am not saying you have to write "dark web" kinds of posts. I am simply saying that adding real value to our posts means going beyond the norm.

If you are blogging about an awesome pair of work boots, take a "Dirty Jobs" kind of approach. If you are blogging about diabetes, write it from a personal point of view. If you are writing about religion, make it personal. If you are reviewing crock pots...well, you get the idea. Make them different. Make them real. Add details about things that you may have seen that others have not written about.

If we are simply mimicking what has been written before, why would people want to read our posts? We need to give them something newer and fresher. A different way of looking at the same things. Make it REAL.

Back to the Matrix

Sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday, the day job in "the Matrix" had me tied up for about 12 hours yesterday and I wasn't able to get home in time to write.

In my real world, I had to tuck my beautiful granddaughter into bed and kiss her goodnight. I had to pet the cat and talk with my spouse about the day.

I had to work on a blog for my grandparent's site. Lots to do to keep the real world moving.

I invite you to come back tomorrow when I talk about "copper tops!"

Have a great weekend!

Best wishes,
Karin 😁

Good post, Karin. I'm in the process of adding to an existing post by putting some personal stories in there. The readers like to know you have been there and have come through okay.

This hit close to home for me. As Neo we had a choice and we choose the red pill, the pill of no return. One has to realize in the real world or the matrix one must be all in or nothing.

As we always say anything beat a blank.

Failure is not an option. I would rather fail trying than to not try at all and never know if I could have made it.

My young nephew, 11, when his dad told him he should stop playing computer games so much and get outside more often.
He says, " I went outside once. The visual was awesome. But the story line sucked." True story. I'm still laughing.
