I'm getting traffic to one of my affiliate programs
I recently signed up for a new affiliate program. I was thinking it might be a good way to draw in a little interest and diversify my list of affiliates.
I signed up about a week ago so I wanted to see how things were going and was excited to see this report:
While I have not made a sale yet, I was happy to see that in a week's time I had 8 unique visitors and at least one of them made more than one visit to the affiliate!
That is exciting!
It also means that at least 8 people visited the specific page that I had this one ad on.
While 8 visitors is not many, those are just the 8 that clicked the ad. In all likelihood I had far more visitors who did not click the ad because they were not interested in it. I can't be certain of the number of visitors because I have not added my analytics to the site yet. (I know, that's my bad!)
I am excited about this and will be sharing the ad to other pages throughout the site soon.
I decided that I really need to quit my day job because of two things:
- My granddaughter was crying today because I am always working.
- I don't want to be working all the time!!!
I know that I can make a living as an affiliate marketer. I believe this to the very core of my being. I owe a lot of that belief to what I have learned here at Wealthy Affiliate.

It's difficult when you have little ones you care about. Our great grandchildren are coming for a sleepover this weekend.
It's the one weekend I wanted to work on an ecommerce site I'm building. But I could never say no to the little ones.

Thank you, Jim. I really hate to have to tell her that I have to work all the time. She made me realize how much I am indeed working because she said I work from when I get up and all day and all evening and then when she wakes up in the middle of the night, I am still working.
She isn't wrong, but I wish I could do things faster! I want to already have replaced my income from my day job so I didn't have to work all the time.

So happy for you Karin, I know how you must feel to see your granddaughter crying because you have to work, my daughter use to cry too when I had to work, she would beg me to stay home and she will go to school, she just wanted me to be home when she got home from school,so I understand, I am sure you will be able to make a living with affiliate marketing, for both of us I am hoping it will be sooner than later.
Thank you for understanding. It is so hard to watch them cry and feel helpless to do anything to help them. I want her to have a better life with me able to be a big part of that.

Yes, I agree with you Karin. Training and program of WA really works. This kind of career, if you may, takes a lot of knowledge, a lot of thinking, and trying different things so that we can all monetize our sites. I, myself signed up with a new affiliate. So your site showing 8 visitors shows very positive results of your recent action. It will increase as days go by. Best wishes and keep exploring. 😍.

I too am affiliated and have links on two of my pages but as yet have not received any traffic or clicks at all. I'm indexed, but am not ranked that I know of so nobody really knows I exist except my family and my roommates so to me right click through would be amazing.
See it's all in how you look at things. Perspective is key.
That is very true. I write a weekly editorial column for the newspaper I work at. The title of my column is: A Matter of Perspective.

Thank you, Gaz. It is hard. I hate breaking that kid's heart. I remember my parents always working so hard seven days a week and wishing i could have more time with them. I don't want to do that to her, too. (Don't get me wrong, my parents worked hard to make us a good living as best they could and we did have a lot of times especially in the winter when we could spend more time together.)
