How do you use your time?
In a quest for clarity, I began to unsubscribe from many of the newsletters I receive.
When I came across the ones I receive from Rich Dad, Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki, I hesitated. I know a lot of them include a sales pitch, but the one I saw that made me stop and think twice was one that included the following:
RICH DAD FACT #6: The only difference between a rich person and a poor person is how they use their time.
Hmmmm....How they use their time...
It made we think, "How do I use my time?"
In analyzing my use of time, I find that there are many random moments that I fill doing stuff that is fairly meaningless. I don't know about you, but for me, this has to stop.
I have heard the expression, "Time is money."
How have I been "spending" my time? How have you been "spending" your time?
If we can't honestly look at our time budget and say we have been spending wisely, then we need to rebudget! I know I do for certain.
I've talked about this before in previous posts, but I spend a lot of time playing video games. It's a great distraction from the toils of the day. However, I play them to the point that I waste up to four hours a night doing so.
Wow! Just looking at that fact, makes me realize something HUGE! I waste a lot of time! I even waste money on buying fake things with real money when I play those games.
If the only difference between a rich person and a poor person is how they use/spend their time, then I have to take serious inventory of this resource and start spending it more wisely.
How about you?
Of course, rich and poor don't always have to do with money/financial prosperity or the lack thereof, but I think the budget of time needs to include the hours needed to help build our financial future.
Well, I certainly have a lot more to think about today as I go to my 9 to 5 job and ponder what I will do with my time when I return home.
How about you....

Great post, Karin! Aside my whatever jobs i get everyday, then I am at any number of my properties cleaning and organizing, and if not there, than am on the computer here in WA!๐
Sounds like you have a pretty busy time! Are you writing any books? I am working on mine sporadically in between my job and blog writing and planning for my live meeting.
It's good to be busy and PRODUCTIVE!
With 2020 vision,

Great post,
I used to play a lot nof games in my early 20s and I actually went cold turkey when I realised how many things I wasn't getting done because of my gaming 'habit'
I have toanage my time well now because I have five kids, teach at school, run a music school at home and am now building a website. I plan my day by the hour each and every day because otherwise, I won't get things done and will feel disappointed in myself.
