Funny how things can change
I was just sitting here thinking about how quickly things can change. I was in attendance at a network marketing event for one of my businesses that was held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There were so many interesting things that came up. New ideas, new ways to do things and so many changes.
I guess what they say about change being the only "constant" is probably accurate. I find that even in the midst of the big changes that I have already been making, I am making another and likely moving onto plan "b" of my life ambition. There will be more coming about the change of plans coming soon, but for now, just be aware that things are changing and I am—at least for the time being—moving my base of operations back to Minnesota. I have been looking at a lot of options over the past few weeks and it looks like I may be traveling into Canada soon!
I have never been to Canada before and so now that I will have my passport in a couple of weeks, it seems like it might be a nice time to visit the neighbors that are so close by!
I am not entirely sure were I will live yet, as I sold my house and either sold or gave away all of my other possessions, but I am sure I will figure something out.
Nothing like starting over at almost age 60, right?! I guess it is funny how things can change.
Mostly, I think the biggest changes have to happen with me. I have never really been one for big changes. Now I have been making one big change after another over the past few months! I guess I am making up for the lack of changes for so many years!
What does this have to do with our businesses that we create? Well, as one might well guess, the key here is change.
Actually, change might be the lock and the key is our ability to make changes and adapt to those changes as we are able to. It isn't easy, that is for certain, but having the ability to change is probably more of a skill than most people would imagine.

I am actually kind of excited about the changes that are coming and that have been happening. I have learned from every one of them whether it be a "good" lesson learned or a "bad" one. I'm even learning that good and bad are fairly subjective and that having learned something new is sometimes worth the struggle.
I learned that I can get on the bus. I learned that I can try something new and even if it doesn't go as planned, I can get back on my feet and keep moving forward.
Perhaps that is the biggest key—that we find we can keep moving forward—especially when things don't go as planned.
I hope you all have a great week and that you learn, as I have, to adapt to changes and to make new plans when the old ones don't pan out!

Hi Karin
You trigger here an important point. I've been "studying" the brain, minds, and how they work, for or against us, since an interest was sparked in 1980. The brain fights hard to maintain a kind of status quo based on whatever has got us to where we are. I.e., the brain does its best to resist change. The thing is that however much we want to implement or accept change consciously, our subconscious mind controls what actually happens for us. Fortunately, our sub-conscious minds are programmable by conscious persistence which is why we are able, using various techniques, to make it easier to accept change. This is why some people find it easy to accept change and others find it much harder. I'd be the first to admit that, the older I get, the more energy I need to use when I want to influence my brain to accept a change.

Love this, Richard. And it is so true. The more I feel I want to change, the harder it seems to be! My brain or more exactly, my mindset, has become even more stubborn than normal so I have had to shift things so I can make the necessary changes. I have to do things by conscious persistence! or I don't have any forward movement at all!
Your thoughtful response has made me think of more possibilities in changing my life.
Karin
We have a clear understanding here. Many don't quite get this! Thanks for the chat, Karin.

Wow Karin, what a powerful post!!! You always show this positive attitude toward change, but now there is even more.
The intelligence of changing plans, without judging yourself or your previous choices! That's a very evolved person!
I send you positive vibes for the new changes you will experience!
Thank you. I wasn't looking at it so much that way, but thank you for your insight into showing me that I do have a positive attitude toward change. I was being told very opposing information for the past few months. 😱
I am still not sure I have made the right decisions, but I know for sure that I am working toward positive changes and seeing where I go next!

Hey Karin,
As much as I don't like sudden changes, especially if they are big changes... Sometimes it is necessary. Thank you so much for sharing your interesting and inspiring story. It can be scary, but at the same time, exciting.
I am working on doing the best I can with what I have. There are a lot of RV out there and with my passport in my hand now, I can go to Canada or Mexico or anywhere in the world and I am looking forward to the opportunities that the freedom of that will bring!
Karin
That is fantastic, and what a great thought and feeling of having all that freedom. Keep us updated with your adventures!
Hello Karin, I admire you as person who is brave enough to embrace change and get out of your comfort zone. I wish you all the best in all aspects in life and good luck with your journey a head.

Hi. I'm scared half to death! LOL... When I got back on the bus Monday morning I had no idea where I was going to stay once I got off the bus! But so far things have turned out okay. I have a place to stay with a friend and her husband and I am looking forward to more positive changes coming my way!
