When you live your life in alignment with a purpose that is centered on selflessly adding value for others, opportunities become abundant and your life becomes fulfilled. ~ Hal Elrod
We all want to add value to our blogs, our businesses, our lives.
But how do we do that?
I thought I would use a series of quotes by people who are much smarter than me to make the point that we can add value to everything.
How to add value to everything.

- Not adding value is the same as taking it away. ~ Seth Godin
If we are not adding value in our blogs, in our talking with others, in our lives, then that is the same as taking the value away. When we waste time talking about others, we decrease the value of not only the conversation, but also the person we are talking about (unless we are talking about them in a positive light).
Adding value to our conversations at WA can be as easy as saying positive things about each other or encouraging and helping each other.
- Money is one of the rewards you get for adding value to the lives of others. ~ Paul McKenna
Adding value may get you some money! Since most of us are here to earn money through our website businesses, doesn't it then make sense that we would want to do so by adding value to our sites.
Adding value may be in directing someone to a really good buy for a product they are searching for.
Adding value may be in giving an answer or in asking the right questions.
By writing posts on our sites, we can add value to our readers. When we make some money, too, well, that is a double win! - If you're not doing something with your life, then it doesn’t matter how long you live. If you're doing something with your life, then it doesn't matter how short your life may be. A life is not measured by years lived, but by its usefulness. If you are giving, loving, serving, helping, encouraging, and adding value to others, then you're living a life that counts!
~ John C. Maxwell
Let us all do something with our lives. I have seen many people who live lives that will not be remembered. They sit around and get high all day. They complain about other people being the reason for their problems. They take advantage of the system. They can't see tomorrow because today gets in the way.
But I have also seen people of all ages who live lives of value. They are remembered because of their kindness, because of their thoughtfulness, because of their love for others. They add value to their lives by adding value to the lives of others. - The key to a great life lies in shifting your focus from accumulation to contribution. The old saying "He who gathers the most toys wins" needs to be replaced with "He who serves the most prospers". Remember, happiness is the by-product of a life spent adding value to other people's lives. ~ Robin Sharma
Let's be honest—toys can be nice. When I bought a new-to-me car, it was fun. It was nice. But perhaps I could have spent less on that car and spent more time serving another
through my website business. Instead of having to work harder and more hours to pay for the new-to-me car, I could have spent that time writing something that would add value to the life of another. Think about that. - Most people are so stuck in their egos that everything revolves around me, me, and more me. But if you want to be rich in the truest sense of the word, it can't only be about you. It has to include adding value to other people's lives. ~ T. Harv Eker
Less ego, means more value. If we feel like what we say is the be all and end all, then we need to step back and take an honest look at ourselves.
I wrote an editorial piece for the newspaper at which I work that spoke to this very thing. I noticed that I use the word "I" a lot! If I started to focus the writing on adding value for others instead of "glorifying" my ego, then my writing would have more value and would, with hope, add value to the lives of others.
So, as you can see through these five ways, you can add more value to your websites, more value to your businesses and more value to your life.
In fact, to emphasize the point, I am going to add one more quote, that I believe will add more value to your reading of this post.
6. Use your mind to think about things, rather than think of them. You want to be adding value as you think about projects and people, not simply reminding yourself they exist. ~ David Allen
If we can use our minds, our words and our lives to add value to others, then we are seeing things for what they are and who they are instead of objects that might make us some money.
People have value way beyond our own imagining. We need to respect and honor that.
I must get going on my day job, now, but please know that I value you and I hope that what I write adds value to your life!
With 2020 vision,
Karin 😁
