Consistency pays off!
Wow! I was extremely excited tonight as I was going through and deleting some old emails. Not only did I see that all of the blog posts I had written this week were indexed (it's still a thrill even after six years!) but I also came across another email that at first I figured had to be a scam or click bait at the very least.
It was a KDP report. I sell books and do Kindle Vella, but I hadn't noticed any sales in my online reports. I hesitantly opened it to see this:
I had to check it out. So I went to my KDP dashboard and there it was!
It may not have been a "huge, retirement here I come" amount, but it certainly shows again that consistency pays off. I wrote episodes every week for the Vella story "The Little Black Dog" and it paid off. Similar to posting regularly on my websites, on Facebook and on Pinterest. Consistency!
If you want to see results you have to be consistent in your efforts! You have to be!
If anyone wants the prompt that I use to have ChatGPT create a consistent blogging/writing schedule, let me know and I will send it to you. It helps me stay consistent. Using AI as an assistant has been so helpful, too!
Have a great rest of your weekend!

Good morning Karin,
It's always encouraging when we have a surprise sale, Karin, it seems to give an extra special boost!
Consistency is definitely key in the Internet marketing game, although I suppose that's probably the same for any business.
I find ChatGPT far more useful as a helper/assistant rather than a writer. It's great for brainstorming!
Have a fantastic week.

Wootwoot! Go you! This is awesome!! I really don't think there is any better feeling than when work pays off.
I would love to see what you are using the ChatGPT for. Anything and everything that is new that might possibly help I would love to know :)
Congrats again! The first of many successes!

Ha, no need to send it to me, I saw that you posted it as a blog post here. Thank you so much for sharing!
Great post Karin and you pipped me to the post (pun intended)
I actually wrote on my note pad on Friday - continuity - with the intention of writing a blog with anecdotes about phases of my life when I was more inconsistent than desired and periods of dis-continuity, what a mess. - see the photo below.
Maybe I should have stopped home yesterday and wrote it, instead of spending the day in the great outdoors, coffees, cakes, and fries. Or maybe not.
You are right on the money there Karin, good post.

Well, you know "they" say that great minds think alike, so... LOL
I think your idea for a post is still a great one. Different people think in different ways. I would love to see what you think!
Hope you have a great day!

Different is what changes the world. For better or worse, lol. Get it out your head & on the paper. you NEVER knows who's thinking the same way. #teamworks #dreamworks
π I would like to see what I think too. Iβve just had a well deserved lazy weekend, Karin, and I need to finish a video for yesterday and get my thinking cap on for the next one.
My accountant is waiting to see what inventive thinking Iβve come up with again for my expenses this year.
Take care of yourself, enjoy life.

This is great, Karin, and you are already well on your way to success. Just have to remain consistent and trust the process as you move along it. :)

Being consistent is hard sometimes, but when you begin to see the value of it, it does make it a lot easier!
Trusting the process!

Hi Karin thanks for the blog post. i have started to see a few results on Facebook from regular activity. Website is a bit slower to respond but being consistent there as well. I would love to see your chatGPT prompt if you dont mind sending it to me. Thanks for the encouragement
Hi Steve,
I sent you a message with it and also posted a new blog on WA with a few more details for clarity. I hope it works well for you and anyone else who would like to use it.
Hope you have a great day!

Thanks Karen. Got it and tried it and it works really well. Thanks for sharing and all the best.

Hi Karin, I am at the other end of this. I just published my first book and got a few sales. Ok it was all from friends and family. But it was a valuable experience and I hope this is the start of something big!
To our successes, big and small,
Michael
The majority of my book sales were from friends and family, too! What is interesting about Vella is that I don't know who read the episodes! I write under pen names for my fiction so no one really knows it is me (which is probably a good thing!). I am looking at ways to market the books to a larger audience now and with hope that will work! π€ͺ
If I come up with anything, I'll let you know!
Hope you have a great day!

Hi Karin,
Nice to see your consistency paying off - two thumbs up
If the channels are open there's no knowing when they'll drop a bit into your account but without them the coffers remain dry
As I'm a little hit and miss with my consistency maybe you can share your Chat GPT prompt so I can become more inclined
