I am having trouble transporting what I write from my Word content to my Website using me mouse . I cannot configure the Page or Post well, that is, I cannot format the content

Hi, Jim thanks so much. Regards.

I know there was a training segment someone put together on this very thing. It is possible to complete your content in word and then move it to site content. But I just can't seem to locate it. Jim

Hello Michael,
I really do it as you say but once I copy Word and paste the content on my Website (Post). I update and I don't and it doesn't fit me the format in the form I copy it from the Word. But I will try to do it through the WA content editor. Thanks for its response.

Thanks, Merlynmac for his time explaining to me. Regards

Any time

This is sort of Easy for me; no offense. But, first in Word: Highlight all the post you want to put on your Website. What I mean is; where you want to start; hold down the mouse. And go over the Content; then Right Click; and go to "Copy". Then after that; go to The Page; and when the Page is ready to take Content; click Paste. I don`t know if this helps? What you can do too; is like Kyle says: Try Refreshing The Page. You could try Refreshing The Page; or if that doesn`t work; try closing the Website and looking it up again. But, if it is The Plugins; try Refreshing the page before putting in your Content.

Thank You:

hey hi Michael --- very good detailed description of the steps .... hopefully, Karell, will also find it so .... and by the way, when you use the '?' it'll automatically get sent to the WA community for response and here we are .... if you only want to direct it to the person you're addressing, then, suggest, remember to click on the yes or no before clicking on reply ...

all the best, cheerio .... :)

Thanks, Paul for its appropriate response. Greetings

Thanks for its fast response. Please, you can explain to me in more detail is that I am a beginner and sometimes I don't understand well. Greetings.

Microsoft word isn't plain text. It has a lot of formatting code behind the scenes. Copying and pasting can really mess up the layout. You're better off using a simple text editor or the Site Content tool offered here on WA.

Microsoft word contains so much 'stuff' behind the scenes in the way that it manages its styles and base templates etc. that it does make it hard to copy over.

To be honest, if you don;t want to create your content in the WA content editor then you might want to use wordpad or notepad and adjust the headings once you copy it over.

I know others here do use word but I tried it initially and it was just too much work to clean up.

Hope this helps

Paul

Are you not able to highlight the text and then choose the proper style (i.e. heading 1-6, paragraph, etc.?
