What's happening since I've joined WA
The Beginning......
I joined in October of 2015. I didn't become a Premium member until some time in November. It has been quite a journey.
I started off creating my website. I didn't want my site to look basic. So I spent hours and days watching this video on how to create a beautiful site. My niche was about editing software. I wanted to sell or promote good editing software because I love editing videos.
The time I spent trying to create this website took away from actually going through with my training here at WA. I felt burnt out.
Eventually I got my site looking beautiful and I was ready to get the ball rolling with my training.
I wanted to Quit!!!!
As I'm going through the training, I found myself disliking my niche and I felt like I needed a change because even though I love editing, it is not something I am passionate about. I didn't want to learn about any of the software that I came across to promote. It just made me not want to write. I actually wanted to give up.
I contacted Carson about my concerns. He told me that I can change my niche at any time and it is okay to change my niche and that many people do it when their heart isn't in it. He encouraged me to find something that I was passionate and excited about.
When you decide to quit, they encourage you to read this blog post that is posted for people who decide to cancel their membership. I read it and after hearing Carson's feedback, I got inspired. I got inspired to do something that I've always wanted to do.
Starting over
I started over. I decided that I really wanted to help people become successful. I've always wanted to be in a field where I am guiding people to become what they dreamed of becoming. I wanted to be a career counselor when I was in school.
So when I decided that that would be my niche, I went through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Going through this bootcamp training has helped me create a site that is based around my overall goal of wanting to help people succeed in life. I look forward to training everyday with WA.
I changed my niche in February. I decided to create a website that help people build an online business based on something they are passionate about.
What's Accomplished
I still wanted my site to be beautiful, but this time I took a much shorter route to it and I will discuss that further on my website on how to do just that :-).
My site health meter has improved and it is no longer in the read
I feel excited about adding contentt and learning about how people can create a successful website. I get excited about sharing what I know to people.
I'm receiving great feedback on my website and I'm looking forward to getting even more feedback.
What are my goals
- I want my site to become more authoritative
- I want to actually convert newbies to wealthy affiliate from my website
- I want to learn more about advertising my website to gain traffic
- I want to write more content
- I want to set a schedule on days on when I write content
- I want to help others in WA more
- I want to make my first SALE!

Girl, you are REAL! I just started May 5 this year, and I am on the GRIND! I am on lesson 3, but in between lessons I am working to finish my site to where it is ready to strive. I understand the struggle, but there are so many nice, helpful people here, I can't stop pushing on. I just read your blog 'What's happening since I've joined WA' it is so interesting and real. I picked up that you are a positive person, as I, and need to truely believe in what you are doing. This blog was a good call and I wish you the best of luck and Hey, I need help with my site if you find some time, view my site and leave me some feed back. It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Wow Thanks Angela! I'm so glad that you were able to get some kind inspiration from my post because that is exactly why I posted it lol. I wanted it to inspire others. I wanted to show that I've gone through it and I want everyone to know that this is a good program and you will learn and earn a lot if you put in the effort!. Yes, I would love to give you some feedback on your site so I am definitely go to check it out.
I wish you much success and I have a good sense that you will have success. :-)
Hey I just left a comment on your site. I love it. You have an awesome niche. I see that you can promote a lot of natural hair care products and become an affiliate of those products.
I wish you much success! I don't doubt that you won't have it!
I too am having trouble with my website, even though I have joined up as a premium member. For the last few days I have watched and read tutorials but I'm still confused. Maybe it's because I don't have the back ground in computers. I don't even know how to put up a link to my website here so people can have a look. Besides I don't like the set out of it and I don't know how to change it.
Aww man I'm sorry to here you are going through so much trouble. Trust me you will get the hang of it! I don't have a background in computers either.
To put a link in your comments all you have to do is copy your url and paste it. You copy your url by highlighting it first and then you hit the right click of ur mouse. Make sure it's all still highlighted. Then once you hit the right click, you should see a box that appears and the word copy. Select the word copy and That should copy your url. Now once you have it copied go to where you want to paste it by hitting the right click again (you should see the same box pop up) on your mouse and select the word paste.
What helped me when I watched the videos and training tutorials, I would go along with Kyle and pause it to do what he did and plays the video again and pause it to do what he is showing me again. That helps a lot and it keeps you current with the training. Try doing that. I hoped I helped. If you have any questions. Feel free to let me know and I will do my best to answer it
I'm sorry to hear this . WA is great about helping. Just continue to ask questions and it will come to you. Google is a great for searching for ideas, don't copy word for word but based on what your niche/passion in life is. You can do it, hang in there. I'm here too for you!
Thanks for that, I have now uploaded my link beginnersnailart.com for peoples comments. I am now working on my next post so the site is pretty boring at the moment.
Great read. I've been discouraged a time or two myself. I had to put this on hold for about 4 months to take care of my mom, which I was very happy to do. During that time 777getgoing kept in touch with me and this helped me to stay with the program. WA has a great community of people.
Wow. That's so great that you had someone to keep pushing when you were going through a personal situation. That's why I love this community because it is just that, a community. I wish you much success.
You are amazing and inspiring. You just read my mind. I can't seem to organize my website. I have read so many materials, blogs and right now I am confused. I want to upgrade to one year subscription but if I can't moved beyond where I am stranded for a week, then what's the use. Trying to do contents, keywords, seo, adding image. I want to ask Kyle but I don't know if he will answer because it seems everyone is asking him.
Hey! Thank you for your kind words. Okay it seems like you are overwhelming yourself. My question to you is, are you creating content about something you are passionate about. That could totally be a problem when you are trying to create content for your niche. If you are not passionate about it, it will not hurt you to start over.
The one thing out of the list you giving me that I think you should only worry about is content. Everything after that will come naturally and easier once you have your content. Don't worry about keywords, seo, adding images. Just create the content. Once you have your page done, read over it and add relevant images. There are a ton of great sources to pull images from such as http://www.freeimages.com/. I personally use my snipping tool to get certain images that I find online.
Don't be afraid to ask Kyle or Carson for help. Go to their profiles and ask your questions. This is a community and they are there to help you. Just ask!
I hope this helped. :-)
Thanks KachinaB for the encouragement and info. God has used you to uplift me. Now, i must go on. And i will be in touch. I follow follow u stat.

I know what you mean. I really didn't know what to write about so, since I am disabled and it is not easy for me, I wanted to eventually find reasonably priced products, which will help make your life easier. I have been blogging about different things and not really being concerned about making my site fantastic, but then I didn't want it so blah either. Tried to find a theme, which worked for what I wanted, but got tired of looking. Have a theme now and am satisfied with it, for now. When I look at other's websites, it makes mine seem like a "plain Jane". I have been trying to put a few pictures and clip art into it. For now, I am trying to promote Wealthy Affiliates, but eventually am going to start another domain, for my writing. I wrote a book, but it was with a scam publisher, so now I found out Amazon.com will help you self publish, with e-books, so will check into that later. It has been going slow for me, but I'm not giving up! Best of luck to you!
Wow. I love your story of not letting small setbacks get to you and I like that you know how to push forward.
Kyle tells everyone to not worry about the look of your site and what really matters is content. I'm just a visual person so I had to go off what worked best for me in regards to themes.
I"m sure your site looks wonderful since you and I think the same on that. I would continue with the content and make sure each page is uniform and has a similar format. Pop in a few pictures that is of course relevant to your content and you got a nice beautiful site.
I'm not sure if you are familiar with clickbank, but I think they offer a service as well in regards to publishing and selling your e-book. I'm not too familiar with it, I just know that my dad posted his book on there. It's worth checking it out.
I wish you much success and Thanks for your comments :-)
