How to get an Amazon product picture and all about the product to your site
To whom it may concern...another step, another (s)mile...
I had quite a struggle to get -I am an Amazon Affiliate- the Amazon product of my choice to my site. After all I did (Just look at www.storiesandfootnotes.com at my post "BLUES TOUR" and click on where it says "amazon.com" Yes, twice, as I put in a book and a CD in.
This is the schedule I used:
-go to www.amazon.com and log in.
--look for the link Site Stripe (on the top bar, left!) and click on it.
-Go to the bar where it says: "Asin/ISBN" and type the name of the product you want to link.-"BB King" for example- and click on it. The product will show a bit lower on the site.
When there are more products you can even pick (a better) another one.
-click on: get link.
-click on the field "shorten Url with amzn.to?"
Now you have a short(er) link; highlight it and press on your keyboard: "ctrl+c".
NOW GO TO YOUR SITE
-to pages or posts.
-High light on your page/post where you want the Amazon product "B.B.King".
-go to the small link (--> the chain) and click on it.
-click on your keyboard "Ctrl+v" and the link is inside.
-click on the little wheel and fill an "x" where it says "open link in a new tab".
-click on update.
-on your page/post: click on the blue button "update".
Now check your site and you are done!

A great day, hardly any rain, sunshine and windy. 22 DegreesI I would have gone out jogging if we did not have to walk 22 Kilometres on the Pieterpad (From Pieterburen to St Pietersberg, we are about half way in Overijssel) tomorrow. It will be kind of the same weather.
Now getting ready for the semi final Netherlands-England on TV, EK soccer for women...

Not too bad thank you. As my site is more on giving info than on earning money, what was I thinking when I started with all this? I have not made 1 Euro yet, oh well, perhaps in the future.

I've been trying this for days and the amazon link only shows up as code. I'm not tech savvy so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong. The link they provide is a paragraph long.
Do not use that long code! I did that for three evenings too (Grrr@#%^^&#-)
