Investigation

In the Leeuwarder Courant -a local paper I read every morning while having breakfast, no fake news!- of May 1 I read an article about Anna Pot. Anna (26) is a student of Groningen University (In the north of the Netherlands). She is investigating the connection between bilingualism and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Two of her statements I like to quote here: "Quality of life is higher when you are be-lingual” and “Be-lingual people show signs of Alzheimer’s Disease four years later than mono-lingual".

“Dutch, Frisian (one of the oldest languages in the World), a bit of French, a bit of German and English!” I thought right away, “not a bad deal.” Makes me feel good.

Unfortunately the article did not say anything about these statements towards WA members.

Btw, what does the abbreviation WA mean again?
