Is it just me?

Is it just me, or does going through the training help you become a better writer?

It seems that the more I know, the more I write. And the more I write, the better I get. Each and every day I find myself writing longer, more informative content. Sometimes I even catch myself writing shorter, even more informative content.

I'm learning how to utilize the training to a point where I can write about anything consistently and not have to stop to think about what to say next.

I'm still in the beginning stages of the training, but I have already worked so far to get out of my "uncomfort zone", that I could just go on for hours in my articles. Am I the only one?

i write best when I write as if in a letter, such as this.
My biggest challenge is beginning!! so, after I get over the inertia, I do write more and more.
being a teacher by profession, I'm aware of "attention span" however, and ind that once I've made my point and backed it up with examples, I can get into TMI...Too much Information!
I'm glad you brought this up, as I will try to make my articles short and too the point, rather than lengthy and verbose. Hmm...

Must be getting late...typos!!

I have never been much of a writer until I finished the certification courses.

Absolutely! I remember when I started, writing those first articles took me so long and it was quite a struggle. But the more you do it, the easier it becomes and the faster you get! :)

I'm starting to see that! I wrote an article last night, about 800 words in probably about 15 minutes. It is starting to come natural to me and I'm enjoying it very much!

That's great - 800 words in 15 minutes is fantastic. It's a great skill to have as you progress too. Creating content can be one of the hardest aspects for many, so it helps if you enjoy it and can create content relatively quickly. :)

You will get better and faster - when I started I was a disaster but know it is easy as pie!!!

Thanks Paul. I look forward to being a successful writer!

I am getting there

No, it's not just you:) I know, in the beginning of my writing career, I kept looking at the counter, 125 > 245 > endless thinking and at last 300+ YAY.
Now, I never look at the counter during writing, and I rattle easily 700 - 1000 words on the comp.

Everything you practice daily gets better ☼

I am seeing that day by day! It is very exciting to see and actually know that I am progressing. According to SiteContent alone, I have written more than 86% of WA members this month. I'm not quite sure if that is a good number, but it sure sounds good! But I have made posts and pages outside of SiteContent that are fairly long, so I'm sure that number must be even higher! Thank you for the words of encouragement.

That is a fairly accurate assumption John when I arrived at WA I couldn't write my way out of a wet paper bag. I am definitely of the belief that you can improve by writing and writing and writing.
The hurdle that we need to overcome is self-doubt.
At some point, the realization sets in that we can actually make an income from our written words, thanks for sharing your thoughts.

This is very true. Though, I have not purchased a domain, I'm finding it hard to get indexed by google. But once I am able to purchase my domain, I feel I will come that much further to success. Thank you for reading my blog, and I appreciate your thoughts and input.

It will all come together for you John, just think of everything being like a building block and as the saying goes the strongest house is built on a solid foundation.
