How to be a 'stainless' character
I am pleased to say that I just completed the level 3 training. Google Analytics is all foreign to me, hope in a few weeks time it would make more sense to me. I am almost 3 weeks into my WA experience, I must say it's exceeded all my expectations. What amazes me the most is the level of positivism on this community. We're currently living in a world full of angry people, 2020 is the year of outrage. There seems to be a prize given to whoever gets offended first, evident on any social media platform. But I don't see it here on WA, which is so refreshing as people are mostly supportive of each other.
This leads me to write about leadership, I can see there are so many leaders here on WA community. In my opinion, the most important ingredient in leadership is integrity. You may have other qualities such as charisma, intelligence, skills, etc, but they mean absolutely nothing if integrity is absent.
A few days ago I wrote a blog on the Resilience Equation, I made an analogy of resilience to metal, a tough solid matter, which is most difficult break and to bend out of shape. I'd like to continue with the theme of living a fulfilling and happy life.
If you add the element chromium to a low carbon steel, you get stainless steel, it resists rust, or stain 'less' than other types of steel. If you substitute chromium with integrity, you are then less likely to have your reputation stained. Thus, the equation:
RESILIENCE + INTEGRITY = STAINLESS CHARACTER
Resilience and integrity make strong leaders with solid moral compass, a most powerful combination.
