A Better Way of Shortening Links
If you are using a service like Bit.ly or TinyURL, you are missing out. These revolutionary tools offer incredible space savings on your blogs, tweets, and postings. They allow you to shorten really long URL's into a small condensed URL, making the most use out of those 160 characters allowed on Twitter.
While we may be making terrific use of their shortening services, we are actually missing out on opportunities to make money. By using these links, we actually advertise for these companies for free. I personally had never heard of Bit.ly. I only started using their service because I saw other people using their links. Naturally, I started using them too.
I am giving Bit.ly free advertising by using their service. There's a better way. For those of us scratching and clawing to gain every extra dollar possible, there's a much better way. One that actually pays you for using their service. It may not be phenomenal at first. But since most of us are using a URL shortening service any way, why not use one that is going to pay us? Bit by bit, you will make money.
The key is consistency.
Here is a brief look at the top URL shortening services that will actually pay you to shorten with their services. There are a few others out there, but these guys seem to be the most popular. Check them out, determine which one you like, and make that extra money.
