Editing Site Title and Tag Line
Hello everyone
Another topic I've searched on and ending up more confused that when I started!
I've been working on content & getting the site looking the way I want (with my limited experience!).
Last thing to sort out before I can focus on getting affiliates set up is:
How do I edit the site title and tagline?
Was thinking about a different font, nice and big and bold with an image embedded in the middle or to one side.
I assume I'll have to pay for someone to do this for me, or is there any easy way?
I've already found an image on iconfinder.com.

ps: I know themes differ. I'm using RedWaves on alcoholog.com

Sorted. Created text and image, made into ppt, converted to jpg, edited and scaled in WordPress. New totally unique site title and tag line. Not perfect but v proud of my non tech self!
So did you import the jpg as a media file? If so, I don't think the text will be read by the search engines. But don't quote me on this as anything is possible. In the settings suggestion below you can change your name and tags. With appearance you can change some colours. For detailed stuff you need code and some experts here could certainly help with that.
Oh no! Will it make a big difference if the site title isn't picked up by search engines (ie will individual pages still rank?)
If what I've done will screw up my launch I'll revert back because I must focus on content for now. *breathe* !
Just remember my note about the text not being read is just an assumption. You need to check it out. See if you can get some advice from people like Robert-A and Leoemery. They are extremely helpful.

When you login to your WordPress website scroll down to you see settings. Click on settings and then click on general. On your "General Settings" page you can edit your "site title and tagline"
After you edit your "site title and tagline" scroll down and click on Save Changes"
That's it, your done!

To get in there I go to the main menu and click on APPEARANCE and CUSTOMIZE ( i'm not sure if there is a way to make any color /or font changes) but there might be depending on the theme you are using.. hope this helps a bit.

Hello, I want to replace the site title with my company logo. Unfortunately you can only use letters for the site title, does anyone know how i can paste my logo into the site title?
