Why Ask Why?
You've heard it before, especially if you have been the route of the network marketer, the question to ask yourself, "what is your why?" Finding your why for doing anything, be it going back to school, starting a new biz venture, wanting a relationship, starts with asking yourself why do you want that? Sometimes the answer may seem obvious. But it isn't always the obvious answer that keeps us going even when it gets hard. And sometimes it isn't the "real" why.
I recently discovered an amazing video on TED Talk. It was Simon Sinek discussing "Start With Why." I think it changed my life. Because suddenly I realized that I wanted all kinds of things but never put much thought into why it was I wanted them. Or why it was that it was important to me. Simon Sinek, challenges us to look into why some are successful when others are not. And it suggests how we might approach the question to realize our success.
Wanting a new house, wanting to make more money, wanting to be popular are all great whys for working hard. But ask yourself why do you want a new house and why do you want to make money and why do you want to be popular and you might discover what it is that is meaningful to you. We lose sight of what is important to us when we are bombarded by images and commercials and advertisements telling us that we need these things and we begin to believe it. And in that search, we go broke, lose track, lose ourselves.
So on your journey here at W.A., ask yourself "why do I want this?" Because when you are clear about your why, suddenly all the hard work, all of the long hours, all of the frustrations and confusions will be worth it. When you know your why, you know yourself.

Actually for me, earning a little extra money since I am on disability would help me out a great deal. But most importantly for me, since I am limited and don't have a job, I would say creating my website and posting blogs and sending them out on social media....and so forth so one, gives me great joy and helps fill up my time during the day. On top of that I have fun doing so, and enjoy interacting with all my wonderful new friends here at WA.

Very thought-provoking. I love TED by the way, now I have to go look up this video. And spend some time thinking more seriously about the whys.
