Howdy to all,

Ready, set, go...let the learning begin! So happy to have found Wealthy Affiliate and starting my second year as a premium member.

A little about me:

I live down under in the land of Oz and have been running a home based office for many years. I've recently created a healthy eating blog which I'm really enjoying and excited to share.

I'm eager to learn more about affiliate marketing and thrilled to be a member here at Wealthy Affiliate.

Life is always busy and there's never a spare moment to be had. My overall objectives are to learn as much as I can, prioritise tasks and focus my attention where it will have the most impact.

Wishing all WA members happiness and prosperity!

JulieV's Goals 3
Money Goals
The sky's the limit - as long as it is earned with honesty and integrity.
I'd be ecstatic to earn money that provided financial and personal freedom for myself and family.
I would be willing to invest a reasonable amount of time to achieve my goals. I'd be seeking life-work balance. In an ideal world, work hard/play harder.

Hi, Julie!

I spent 1998-2000 in Sydney and loved it. I made it to Melbourne, Canberra, and Wellington for business. I also drove up to the Gold Coast from Sydney, which was an awesome drive along the coast.

I left Sydney for Tokyo in 2001, but would visit Sydney about 3 times a year to clear my head, and catch up with friends again.

Being in Australia was a very happy time of my life. Very magical, especially with the excitement around the Olympics.

I have been in Melbourne during the Australian Open tennis, and that was fun too! I stayed at the Australian Club, in the CBD. It was pretty amazing.

Good luck with the Genesis Framework and Child Themes... I'm looking forward to that journey as well!

Hi Gary,
Just an update. Am in the process of creating my second site, utilising the Genesis framework and child theme, Foodie Pro. My full-time business eats up lots of time. Hoping to get the new site up and running soon though. One thing to note is that there are some limits on plug-ins when using Genesis and child themes (WA blocks outgoing HTTP requests). There is a need to lodge a support ticket to see if blocks can be lifted - at that point right now. As always, where there is living there is learning! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Hi Julie,

Ok, very cool. It's funny you mention this now, since I've spent most of this past week finally installing Genesis Framework, and one of the Child Themes. I am using plugins, but mostly plugins related to working with the Genesis Framework, and not 3rd party plugins... I'm working with someone to build a mobile friendly website for them, and it's been interesting so far...

I will certainly ask for support if I get stuck on something I really want to use... The actual site will be hosted somewhere else, so I'm sure I'll be more familiar with it as I go too...

Thanks for the update!..

Hi Gary,
How serendipitous! Seems we are travelling a similar road at present. I actually have someone helping me install things behind the scenes (plugins, etc) but came a cropper as WA blocks outgoing http requests. Support advised they will look at the plug-ins for me and may be able to allow them as a one-off. Waiting to hear back from my helper so I can provide Support with more information. Sounds like you are on top of things as you are helping someone with their site. Happy to offer any assistance if I can but at the moment am really just watching and trying to learn via the person helping me out. Best of luck with the site you are working on.

Hey Julie, I thank you for the follow. I live down under as well. I'm an implant from Canada and the US.. Where do you live? I am presently in SA. I will take a peak at your site after my ride today. I must oxygenate the brain to get my creative juices flowing. My site needs lots of work of course. but that is what happens when you are new.

Hi there,
Thank you for your well wishes. I will definitely check out your Sunday blogs. My "day job" is keeping me away from WA more than I'd like at present. Am hoping I can tweak the schedule so I can spend more time here with you amazing folk.

If you are a writer, you immediately have an advantage within the online world. Success online comes down to choosing a niche and then working to become an expert within that niche through your content.

One thing that I have learned over the years is that you earn a lot more money writing for yourself than you ever do writing for others. If you can help someone in any niche, you can build a business doing so and that is what we are going to help you here with at WA.

Great to have you here Julie and I really do look forward to working with you! :)

PS. I hope you have an awesome week ahead!

Hi Kyle,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Writing is something dear to my heart. Unfortunately, have not followed that passion as much as I would have liked to.
No time like the present to rememdy that situation!
Am looking forward to spending time here, soaking it all in.
Thanks for creating a platform that simplifies so many processes and offers such inspiration.
Can't wait to get started on the learning curve.

Well you can definitely "write" within any niche, it is of course the premise of all the content you create and this leads to rankings, traffic and opportunity (as we will be discussing within the training).

I know you are going to love it here Julie and if you ever do have any questions Julie just let me know. :)
