The Power of Low-Hanging Fruit Keywords

When I first started building my website, I made the mistake that so many others do in going for the big keywords. What are the chances that I, with a new site, will be put on the first or second page of google when there are already hundreds of established resources?
I also didn't really fully understand how to use keywords, where to put them, etc. I watched Nathaniell's tutorial here.

After watching it I realized I was going to have to rewrite most of my pages :( I was tired and wondered if it'd really make that much of a difference. For every single page I'd have to look for low hanging fruit keywords then write my content based around that keyword.
Finally I did it and yes I did have to rewrite a lot! However it's been less than 24 hours and before I rewrote, I couldn't find a single page of mine on Google. It was past page 5 and after that I just stopped looking for it. With the rewrite though I've found 1 of my posts on the second page of Google, another is on the third page of Google, and a third post is also on the third page of google! In less than 24 hours!
Low Hanging Fruit is the way to go! :) My goal was to have at least one post on the front page of Google within my first month. So lets see if I can make it!
