Hear the Thunder?
Just the other day I was out on the porch with my husband. The day had been one of those gloomy days where the sun at time shines, but mostly you have grey clouds and a few white ones interspersed This day though the sky was most magnificent! Huge billowing deep grey almost black edged clouds, bright white streaks throughout. They were the most majestic clouds I'd ever seen in my life. The wind was blowing off and on in strong bursts making the clouds continually morph into new shapes.
My husband and I chatted about the weather, recent events in the world and our lives. As I sit here writing I realize how similar those 3 things are.
The sky above our heads was ever changing. Swirling up in the sky as if unable to decide which direction to turn. Yet that inability did not change the majesty of those clouds. They were still huge black clouds, continually changing direction a little at a time as it drove its storm thru the sky. We'd hear a thunder crack that would make us jump. The sky was definitely in control and making us notice it by rumbling loudly.
Recent current events were like the clouds also. Drifting from one city to another, creating chaos wherever it went. Angry people in the streets, shouting, women screaming and babies crying. gunfire cracking in the air. People running in different directions, unsure which way to go. Those people had no more control over what was happening to them just as we, sitting on those chairs on the porch had no choice as to what the storm would do next.
Our life has also been like the clouds in the storm and the people running in various directions hoping the choices they made as they ran would keep them safe. Our life reminds me of Niagara Falls raging water, rumbling over rocks, angry and out of control. As you near the actual Falls the noise from thousands and thousands of gallons of water rushing over rocks toward the edge is like Thunder. Strong, Loud and Powerful. You can feel it under your feet. Then finally falling over the edge, crashing into the huge rocks below.
But unlike the Storm or the chaos throughout the world that continues on moving from place to place, once the water over the falls hits the rocks below it calms and swirls going in a new direction.
Since we've found Wealthy Affiliates we too have found a new direction. We found a community of people all willing to help the other succeed! Each person here has had a reason to choose Wealthy Affiliates. Each person I've met that has been working the program seems to shine, sliding down the rainbow the storm left behind. They all seem quite content in their lives, happy to help and cheer us on.
Yes, I hear the Thunder in a new way I will never forget!

Nice ... you are an excellent writer Judy. You will do well here. I've never experienced Niagara Falls up close and personal ... it's on my bucket list. I have been to Yosemite several times since it much closer here in California. But as powerful as the falls of Yosemite are when we've had a decent Sierra snow pack, I now it is nothing when compared to Niagara.
I love that image of sliding down the rainbow. You really are a talented writer and I'm so glad we have both found Wealthy Affiliate as I now have the chance to read your words.
Here's to more of your blogs!
Aww thank you, you are so sweet! Can I keep you as my new best friend forever? Or as kids would say, BFF!
Are you going to traing Friday? Im hoping ill be able to stay awake. Im having surgery on my right leg. VNUS CLOSURE. They will totally knock me out so not sure if I'll be awake. If you go, can you take notes for me?
Again, thank you for the sweet compliment. It means a lot!

Probably not going to make the training live this week, but I will sign up as they're all recorded, and if you sign up you'll get notified once the recording is ready.
And certainly I'm up for being your new BFF. I like that - WA BFFs. We might have just found ourselves a new niche!
;)
Good one! I hope everything's ok. We were going to sit together and whisper explanations of what Kyle was talking about. Now what do I do?
Well just be happy and safe! I'll miss you!
New niche...I like that....BFF, kinda small group but what the hey..I'm game!
Thank you so much Max. When you believe in something, writing about it is so much easier! Judy

Hi Judy, Your words are like the water fall in the picture.
I hope that your experience with WA can continue to be the calm in the storm and a new beginning for you and your husband.
Marty
Thank you so much Marty. I know I'm where we belong. This is going to be a really good experience! Thanks for taking the time to read it.
Thank you so much! It just flowed out of me. I know I'm where I belong.
Question: Are we allowed to make a website about WA?
Judy - What an awesome expression of our experience in WA!
You provide excellent imaging, very impressive and greatly appreciated.
Thank you Steve. That's the first POST I've ever done. It just all came together. I really appreciate you commenting!
Judy - It was so beautifully phrased and read like a story with pleasant visualizations. VERY impressive..........you are a writer, perhaps no one told you!
To be honest I shocked myself. I am a very visual person. I love to draw in charcoal and colored pencil. I love to write also, but has to have meaning to me or it doesn't work.
I appreciate you saying I'm a writer, and rather than saying noooo, I graciously accept your compliment.
I'm really happy for you and that new job! Hard to come by these days! Just be sure to stop in here now and again and say hi!
This will allow me maximum time with WA, where other jobs might not have afforded me the flexibility to spend as much time as I do now. That fear is now gone.
About your writing. I think you should write when the mood moves you but there is no question that you have talent, and you like to write. We are lucky to have you here to learn from. And BTW now when someone asks...........you SHOULD tell them you are a writer!

Judy, great metaphors.
Add the right music to the thunderstorm and life's a buzz while you watch and listen.
