Well, its not exactly the same kind of working I was doing when I was working so its not like working.

I'm in the US, working WA and having fun doing it. It was not this much fun when I was doing my 8-5.

There is no such thing as a Bank Holiday in the USA.

What I appreciate is the flexible hours, even if I do work late at night, early morning or on the weekends, I can schedule my own hours.

And the time I spend commuting back and forth to work can be counted in seconds, rather than hours. :)

I wished I just had to work for myself this bank holiday... however, I had to make my boss richer today, but that is about to change soon... :)

Not a holiday here in the US, but I've taken the day off to accompany my husband to an appt in metro Detroit (an all-day undertaking to drive down and back) and will take another half day off to take dear friends to the Traverse City airport. For their return trip home after a summer here. That's one of the blessings of self-employment... but, of course, I'm working long hours the rest of the week!

Just came back from Nottinghill carnaval...and kept checking my emails from WA. Haha. Quite addictive somehow!
And yeah, Jude, I understand what you mean.

Agree on all points Jude...........and then when we reach that point........EVERY DAY will be a holiday !
