Have You Tried Answer The Public Keyword Tool? If Not You Are Missing Out
Keyword research can be an extensive process when we are brainstorming for our blog posts. Jaaxy provides us with great insight to get indexed for the major SERPs. We start by utilizing low hanging fruit keywords with the hopes of eventually becoming recognized as an authority in our niche. But is that truly enough?
We do all this research for great keywords with low competition and great search results but are we really going after our target audience? How do we know what our target audience is truly asking? If we don't really know, how can we help them?
This is where Answer The Public comes in
AnswerThePublic.com, a free keyword tool, was built by CoverageBook, a team based out of Brighton, UK. Their goal is to provide marketing teams with the right tools to create useful content to grow their business and provide the answers people are searching for on the web.
Answer The Public visualizes the keyword data provided by the major search engines and helps the marketer analyze their keywords more efficiently, therefore enabling content creators with useful ideas.
I stumbled upon this website about a year ago, and I have been using this in conjunction with Jaaxy to complete my keyword research. The platform is very user-friendly, and you don't have to be tech-savvy to understand how to use it.
The keyword tool have an edge over your competitors because you actually know what people are asking. You can better segment your audience and tailor your content to reach specific micro-niches.
Just like it was mentioned in the training here at WA, it's important to find a micro niche so that you can stand out among the crowd. For example, instead of catering to moms all over the world, how about you narrow down your target audience to single moms. Now you are working with a target audience you can build on.
Answer The Public can help you generate ideas for the single mom target audience and get you started to develop your content.
How to use Answer The Public
When you first enter the website you will be greeted by a bald man with a long white beard known as "the seeker" who is impatiently waiting for you to enter a keyword so that he can suggest ideas.
Answer The Public is a global platform so it gives you the ability to search in multiple languages. After you enter your keyword, the seeker will give you results for your keyword in the form of:
- Questions
- Prepositions
- Comparisons
- Alphabet Soup
I will usually start with the questions to see what people are asking about. For example, my keyword single mom has generated a lot of questions.
One question that stands out to me is "How can a single mom join the military?" since I have experience being a single mom in the Army, I can expound on this question and create content to answer this question. I could also create a step-by-step guide or checklist to give to my readers.
Another related question that also filtered through the results is "Can a single mom join the National guard?" I can also include this in my keyword research and potentially create a series of blog posts related to single moms in the military.
You also have the option to download all the data for this keyword in a CSV file. Then you can thoroughly comb through your results and start to build your content.
Right now they are currently working on a paid Pro version that will give you even more insights to help you deliver the right content to your audience.
If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest you test it out. After all it is free.
They also now offer a free email course that will teach you how to use the tool more effectively. I have gone through the short course and learned so much about effective keyword research and how to build my content around it.
Have any of you tried Answer The Public? What do you think about it? I would love to hear about your experience.
