7 Deadly Fears Entrepreneurs Must Overcome to be Successful
I found this article on Medium today, and I found this list to be very true.
We often times stand in our own way when it comes to creating success for ourselves. It's so hard to go outside of the mold we are accustomed to. I can admit, I am a victim of this type of mindset as well. Here is the list Larry Kim presents as the 7 deadly fears we must overcome to be successful:
1. Fear of Change
2. Fear of Failure
3. Fear of Not Getting Funded
4. Fear of Being Uncomfortable
5. Fear of the Unknown
6. Fear of Letting Others Down
7. Fear of Being Wrong
I can say #6 resonates with me very well. Even growing up I was always afraid of letting my family down if I did not get a grade that was "acceptable" in their eyes. Today I still want to make sure I am successful in front of my family most of all.

I overcame my fears because I know and believe that I am greatly blessed, highly favored, abundantly supplied and deeply loved.
8. Fear of embarassment.
All of these I fight to minimize their negative impact. I will say i've gotten much better at attacking fear when I recognize it. Thanks for this thought provoking post.
I have alot but I thin my biggest would be the #2. I love to win in any and everything I do. I think at times that is my big down fall. Thanks for the information that you provided.;

Not a problem Theo! Sometimes you just need to stop, take a breath and try again. You may miss something that was right in front of your face when you are moving too fast. :)
Yes, fear is very real for many of us. It can have its origin in childhood. The good news is that there are people out there as we speak that offer to solve the problem. I have had a problem with "thinking" I am not tech savvy enough to do online marketing lol ??.
Little did I know all the answers are in Google ....just did some research and slowly but surely I'm learning the ropes. It all takes time and patience.
And yes # 6 does scare me as well
Thanks for sharing and take care.
Johan.
When I really sat down and thought about it a while ago, I realized that there was actually a certain amount of fear of success, believe it or not. Having lived a pretty average sort of life - not without some excitement and some successful moments, but pretty average - the thought of suddenly finding myself experiencing a new level of success in a new field was actually quite un-nerving. I didn't know how I'd handle it when I got there. Thankfully, in a way, the journey to success isn't a quick, smooth journey and it's given me time to adjust to how I think I'll respond to it when I do make it.
Seems a bit odd, I suppose, but that's my own experience and it's been something I've had to get my head around :-)

Success can indeed be very frightening! As the saying goes, more money, more problems holds true. The same applies to some degree of success as well. Thanks for sharing Rich
