Using different languages to find niches

My mother language is Croatian. I'm pretty good at English, also. This allows me to find websites or systems that work on English, and then create Croatian versions of it, or the other way around. Of course, Croatian market is always smaller, but it can be profitable.

There's a website about making online money I'm working on.
First I'll do it on Croatian, and then on English.
It will have plenty of affiliate products. It will also link to WA. Hopefully that website is going to help plenty of people find this awesome resource...

Think about what options you have, if you speak more than one language.
Maybe you can do a multilanguage website, also?
What niches are specific to your country/language?
Can they be used another way?

It's important to start seeing your language as a potential, not as a barrier.

Let me know what ideas you have! :)

Very good idea! Thanks for sharing.

Excellent. Especially now. Things are going global more & more these days. - There's a free Translator out there called Babylon. I haven't tried it yet, but it might be worth checking out.

Great thought

Good thinking. Thanks for the thought.

Great idea which I have been looking into also. Have you been able to find a way in Wordpress to flip between two languages using (say) an English or a Croatian button?
Regards
Hudson.

I'm using Joomla for stuff like that. I'm used to it and know around with it much better. There probably is some simple solution for Wordpress. Will google a bit when I catch up some time!

I think you are absolutely right about that. I used Google translate to convert to from English to French, German and Italian. I hope it does a decent job... I speak some of all 3 but not enough to write an article or content properly. Could never hurt to expand your reach. Would need to research products if you are selling them to make sure they are available in the various countries. I think all in all you have a very good idea here.

Here's a link... http://translate.google.com/

I'll put up my site for music again. It's on Croatian and English. It's pretty good with SEO. People come to it through various keywords you'd never expect, because I've published LOTS of guitar articles before. Multilanguage stuff is good for SEO, also.
I'll see about products, but I don't think there will be problems with them.

Do you create your own music? Amazon sells music books and sheet music for various instruments including guitars. Would love to see your website when you're done. Julie
