2 Things That Helped Me Find Success Online

Last Update: April 12, 2016

I just want to share 2 quotes or sayings I have had implanted into my brain since I first heard them. The kind of reassurance I found from 2 simple sayings has assisted me over the years to never give up and fight hard for financial freedom.

1. "Are you're willing to do in a year what others won't, So you can spend the rest of your life doing what others CANT" .

This quote or something very similar I first heard from Potpiegirl (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/potpiegirl) back in the very beginning of my online journey. I've also seen variations of the saying floating around too :).

What this saying meant to me was: Am I willing to put in the effort for as long as it takes and trust that Affiliate Marketing can bring me the life I am seeking?. Not give up and know the others have made this work for them, so why can't it work for me!.

Several years later and now I can life the life I want, and do whatever I want when I want. Oh and be debt free :) Is it all thanks to that inspirational saying?

2. "Everyone is just one keyword away from success" Now I can't remember exactly which course I read this in. But it has stuck with me to this day. I remember it was about a marketer who made a killing by promoting gold teeth to a hungry niche.

Will every keyword bring you success? I don't believe so. But is that 1 magical keyword waiting just around the corner for you to exploit!. If you stop now and give up trying to make your dreams come true...You will just never know and someone else may be lucky enough to take your spot in Google.

The next keyword/post you write may be the one!. The one that breaks through and starts the snowball effect. If you stop before then... Well you won't make it in this business. So keep writing and posting quality content. One day that 1 special keyword will find you!.

What came to mind when reading this is the story about the guy that stopped digging his tunnel just prior to finding the gold. The guy who carried on digging struck gold soon after. Thanks for a great post!

Hi Josh, this was one of the most motivational messages for me! thank you so much! I have already experienced a great keyword. I never expected I was going to rank other high authority websites. what is funny is that most of my traffic comes from a keyword that wasn't targeted.

have a great day

Love both of those and they both hold very true. Most people are not willing to give success the time it deserves, something that you find in this industry (particular because there are so many offers that claim "instant" success).

Also, a single keyword can be a huge money maker. I have seen it MANY times over the years, single keywords that drive close to or a full time income...the law of averages and time always prove this to be the case with any niche. If you create enough quality content, you are going to strike many of these keywords over time.

Great post here Josh!

Thanks Kyle. I too was one that didn't give success enough time in the beginning. Fortunately for me I got a email from you inviting me back all those years ago. Now I'm here to stay :) It is hard to understand why this does take time to build for newcomers. So hopefully people can see that it works if you give it time :)

I think the problem actually resides in the fact that many of us spend YEARS working in a job where we get paid hourly for our work. We get paid every two weeks, we collect a check.

Business is different. It takes time to get the foundation built and get things set-up so you can earn a long term income, but people are expecting the "hourly pay" still. They want money in the first couple of weeks for their work, when often times the work and effort you put forth now won't pay off for months...sometimes longer.

If people could change their mentality and realize business is different than an hourly job and they gave themselves more time to succeed, SO MANY more people would accomplish success. So many people quit just prior to achieving big things and having their breakthrough.
