It was 20 years ago today.
Many of us are celebrating Father's Day today. It was exactly 20 years ago today, when I received the best Father's Day present ever. My son, Gabriel, arrived home from the hospital after spending a couple of days there for observation right after he was born. Needless to say, I was so excited when the doctor's gave the ok for him to finally come home. I thank God that today, he's a healthy young man. He's one of my reasons WHY I do what I do.
In our journey we will find peaks and valley, obstacles and opportunities, supporters and naysayers. However, when we have a big enough WHY, it's easier to find the strength to move on and reach our ultimate goals.
When challenged, don't be discouraged, Find a big enough WHY, and you'll make it.

For me it was almost 2 years ago to this day (July 2nd) that we our little girl enter this world. There is nothing more special than being a father and I feel blessed and grateful that I get to experience this ultimate sense of joy.

My why is my daughter, first and foremost since she is still young and will be living with me for many years yet. Of course, my two grown up boys are also included in my why, but they are very much leading their own lives and are not dependent on me.
But I also include myself in my why, to be able to support and stand by others, I need to stand by myself.
