Get a routine, it mentally helps !
Last Summer, I quit my business and my job. I owned a successful restaurant for 3 years but my life expectations were others, to build a new life from some internet business and be more geographical independent. We love travelling and why not? living in different countries, we are modern nomads! lol.
So, I took my wife and 2 children and moved from Spain to Bali. With so many changes, I lost my daily routine. Hopefully, the ones we are lucky to have children, will have noticed that they (indirectly) give us a routine. They have to go to school, so that makes us turn around their time schedule. And that's ok! It helps! I decided to join WA on February, also in order to get this anxious routine, and not to question myself everyday ... "And today what's new or what can I do?".
Sometimes, in life, we need to give ourselves orders. We must assume them. If you start asking yourself so many questions, it will generate doubts and invalid excuses in order NOT TO TAKE ACTION. And it's proven that it mentally helps.
I think, for all of us, within this internet world and working from home, that's a big and serious challenge. Are you achieving it? Ask yourself.
Oh! and 2 more things I added to my daily routine:
a) physical exercise (I try to make it fun, 30 to 60 minutes)
b) healthy food (fresh vegetables and fruit, cereals gluten free, organic eggs and yogurt, olive oil, fresh juices, teas, 2 liters water). Try to avoid cafeine, alcohol, meat, fried and processed food, drinks like Coke or similar). And the worst number 1 enemy, SUGAR. Sorry to tell you guys, but it's everywhere !!!
After following these simple rules, my mind, my body and my thoughts are faster and brighter than ever !!!

I have been trying to change my diet and exercises as well but at the end of the day the dreaded sugar creeps in the night. Thank you for routine change.

Enjoyed your post and agree a routine is important when working from home, I have a routine though my children are all grown up now its the grand children, getting fresh air, etc is a must thank you for sharing it is good to be reminded cause you can easily spend hours with the pc and hours have passed
