Welp, I did it. I signed up for Premium at Wealthy Affiliate
Man that was a hard 20 bucks to give up.
The deal was $19.00 the first month and $50.00 thereafter to sign up for a premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate. Here I'm not only brand new to online business but brand new to computers! I hadn't touched a computer since I was in high school and I hated every minute when I had to! So I told myself, "hey I write pretty well. I bet you I could start a pretty good blog.
Here everybody speaks about getting scammed online so its natural to assume that just about anything online that says you will make money is just a "get-rich-quick scheme," and they're usually right. I've seen constant "get-rich-quick" advertisements on Facebook, YouTube, and even Instagram.
Naturally, I wanted to look at every in and out on whether something like this is legit. Is actually doing this affiliate marketing thing all that hard? Could it really be possible to not have a day job and have true time and freedom?
Well, it certainly is not easy. There is a lot of knowledge to gain and hard work before you will see any dollar signs. If you think you know everything you will not succeed. You must take the time to learn.
As For me, it was like climbing a freaking mountain!
I'm very new to this but I've been chipping away at it as much as I possibly can and I've learned A TON at wealthy affiliate just as a free member and I'm excited to learn more.
When I first got to the platform on Wealthy Affiliate I was pretty overwhelmed. Honestly as a free member for about a week they give you access to pretty much the entire platform; they literally gave me too much to the point where it hindered my ability to be comfortable with it. After so much time they take away some of the tools you can use and to be honest I was a bit relieved. I can only handle so much training and gaining so much knowledge each day.
So I took my time through the free training and I learned so much about it and this whole "passive income with affiliate marketing" thing started to actually make sense. It seemed possible so I worked at it.
You know what I got out of it? A real website with content and enough knowledge where I felt confident that down the line I would have eventually profited off of just what they offer free.
So I did it, I signed up for a premium membership here at Wealthy Affiliate.
Have I earned a dollar yet? No, but I am actually super confident that with the proper formula of work, learning, and a tad bit of patience that I will become very successful with this knowledge. I have access to all the tools I need, and I didn't have to spend an obnoxious amount of money like how it would normally take to download everything on my computer. I also have access to all the coaching and live help I well ever need to fuel an online business.
So again, if you want my honest opinion. Getting into this type of thing was probably a good idea. It's not a get "rich-quick-scheme." It's something anyone can learn if they're disciplined enough to take action and work for the life they desire. Ya know, I'm actually a pretty disciplined dude if you want my opinion.

Sounds like you had a light bulb moment and I'm glad you did. This is truly the path to financial freedom. You made a good solid choice. Now, don't focus on rank within Wealthy Affiliate, that's what many people do, including me my first time around. It's great to hang around the community and help people and make new friends. But if you don't work on your website, you won't make a dime. But then I suspect you've already figured that out.
Congrats to going Premium, there is a great deal more to learn, but take it at your pace. This is not a race. Just set a schedule and stick to it. Get yourself a dream board. Put your goals on it either in written form or picture form.
If you aren't a money motivated person like me (thinking in terms of how much money I could make made no sense to me since I am not money motivated) then think of your progress in other terms. How about in numbers of people you want to help in a certain amount of time? That is tangible for me, what about you?
Find what works for you and stick with it. That is the bottom line. It is also a great idea to catch Jay's Friday night seminars. He is very wise and teaches us a lot!!!
Congratulations and good luck. If you need any help, there are several avenues to obtain it. Don't be afraid to ask questions. That is how you learn, how we all learn. The only silly question is the one not asked.

thanks. to answer your question it's freedom that appealed to me the most.
i train jiu jitsu and want the financial freedom to do it full time without having to make the sacrifices I do now. I also like the idea of not having to answer to a boss. Any advice and encouragement is always welcomed. Have A LOT to learn

You've made a good decision to become Premium. You can turn that $49/month into $30/month of you pay annually. Then look for a possible Black Friday Special in November and you may get a chance to pay $299/annually - if so, take it. That would bring your monthly fee down to $25/month.
You are right this is no get rich quick deal. But keep doing the training step by step and hard work and patience will prevail and you will succeed. - Shilrye
