Level 3 Now!
I have completed Level two of the Online Entrepreneur Certification once I submit this post.
What's surprising to me is that I came to WA out of frustration and was bored. My ADD brain wanted a shiny new object and I started at WA despite knowing from experience that is the worst reason to pursue a unique opportunity.
At the end of the month, the result is that I have had the most productive month of this young year. The money isn't there yet. (No ads or affiliate links will do that, lol) but I have done a lot.
I was tired of finding people to help me repair my non-WA website. So, I distracted myself. I clicked on Clickbank, read some reviews about them and came to WA (Thanks, VitalyG)
My primary goal is to get customers for my website, where I teach English online but I see now that WA and my website, Where English Works, are not competing interests but have synergy.
I used what I learned in training to improve the SEO of my website. I read here about faster loading themes that could solve my problem; turtles are running my website. I have learned to make blog posts look better, and I apply it to my Wealthy Affiliates website and my Where English Works website when I learn something. Now my posts have pictures inside the articles. At WA, I am indexed but at my site, Google is indexing my blog posts but not most of my site.
When people visit my website and ask for a PDF, they don't get it! I hope there is a solution for that in training. When clients pay for a lesson, they have to suffer through a drop-down menu with no marketing copy that spins around until it's good and ready to provide options. I want to find WordPress plugins I can use to schedule classes and collect payments via my Stripe account, and more.
I expect to have to find answers in other places, too, though. I would kill to ditch my web host and special plugin and the package that comes with it if I can find something better. I pay one price for using so many tools, but it is frustrating. I have not been able to get new clients outside of my warm market since I worked for a big Chinese company, which is not sustainable. I see promise with what I have learned, though.
The idea of Wealthy Affiliates is rekindling dreams and giving me new ideas like hiring teachers once my schedule fills up. Since coming to WA, I have wondered about the feasibility of using affiliates to get customers, and I am not ready for that, but I am intrigued. I can't wait to learn more!
I will focus on both of my websites in April. I am not afraid to rip apart the crappy copywritng on my website anymore.
April Goals
-5 WEW clients
-No money goal at WA. I recognize this is a month to try new things and experiment. There will be goals in May.
-Finish the Online Entrepreneur Training
- Write 10,000 words (this does not include blogging and other marketing at Where English Works)
-I will install the Ad tools and spruce up the existing web host to be more engaging and profitable if I don't or can't ditch them.
-I will leverage what I learn at WA to get many more visitors to my website
-I will get my homepage and other pages listed on Google (My blog and privacy policy are listed but not the homepage!)
That will rock my world. I will pay off the credit card that I have been carrying a balance on ever since my former employer cut my hours in half before disappearing due to changes in China.
Poof!
I can then close out a personal loan I took from American Express for marketing my business. I don't like debt but t's not like I run a website at WA called How To Get Out of Debt and Stay Out of Debt.
Doh! I do!
It would make me warm and fuzzy (and less hypocritical) to stop paying interest on the Green card and start saving money again.
I see good times ahead.

Thanks, VitalyG! How long should I expect it to take for revenues to start flowing? I am asking this publicly as I others have or will have the question in the future.
It really depends on the niche, how much you apply the training and what you are promoting. Typically a range of 3-6 months is what normal people see in this.
The goal is to keep growing the site as per the training because the more you do, the more it snowballs into profits later. You are basically building your business brick by brick. What you do in the present, pays in the future.
