How To Add Text To An Image Easily

Hi WA Friends,

Most images we upload needs a description, when I was a newbie I cheated and took the easy way out. I wrote the text somewhere around the image, it looked like an "add on" and not very tidy.

I have now mastered the task on writing a descriptive text on an image. It is very easy to do, if I can do it anyone can !!!!

Firstly you need Befunky https://www.befunky.com/ THIS IS A FREE SITE

Click on Photo Editor to get started.

Next page Click Upload and a drop down menu appears Click on Computer to insert your image that requires text on it.

We then get the following page, showing two columns of items for editing your image. In the first column you will see the letter A which is for your text. Click on the letter A to open the text page.

Next after clicking on A which is now highlighted, you arrive at the following page. Click on ADD TEXT.

You now have this screen, practice and play with it, as you can alter style of text, size of text, colour (back ground and text colour etc). On Winston's photo you will see, "click when selected to edit text".

Moving on to saving your text image now, Winston doesn't show any text as the photo is just an example .Click on Save where a drop down menu will show options. Click on Computer as shown.

Nearly finished already, after doing the above step, this page will be shown below. Click on Save and you can add it into any folder you want on your computer.

I have not produced many of this type of information, so I really hope it has been very easy to follow. I practiced with a photo I uploaded, and it did not take me very long to work out the text on my photo. If I can help further please let me know.

The image with the text looks very neat and tidy, when you get it sorted yourself you will be very impressed.

Thank you,

John

Hi Alexander,

I only recommend a website if it can be of help.

Thank you,

John

Thanks John, this is the tool I needed for text on my pics both on my websites but also on Twitter.
May it's worth mentioning that they have a nicely working app as well. I tried to open your link from my iPad and it redirected me automatically, but it works following exactly the same steps outlined by you.
And of course, loooovely pic of Winston!!

Thank you, Giulia.

Always a pleasure to hear from your good self. Perhaps I should get the app on my desktop as I use Befunky regularly. Winston is another of our rottie's that had bone cancer in his back leg.
We made the decision with the vet to have it amputated, he is no longer with us. This was a few years ago.

John

I have just tried it on my two begging Basset Hounds and it looks good.
The edit text is still in the photo afterwards.
I do not know how to show it to you in this message.
Just worked it out so have a look.

Hi Tom,

Very impressive, I hope you are pleased with it. Don't forget to delete the edit text !!!
Love your begging Basset Hounds.

Thank you,

John

I am trying to work out how to delete the edit text in the middle.
Do I use the cut out scissors.

They were two of our first female show dogs Australian champions Molly and Mandy at a dog show and we were having a lunch break.
Because there was food around They sat up and begged which they could do for 15 minutes at a time.

Tom, what you have to do is click on the undo arrow next to the share button at top of the page. This should get rid of the text on one.
I know what you have done, have a practice with another image BUT this time just click the sample text, "click when selected to edit text" DO NOT start a new text, if you do then you get the text you have written and the sample one.
Just click and use the sample one for whatever text you want every time.

John
