My Progress Thus Far at Wealthy Affiliate

Hi everyone! Its been a whirlwind 13 days thus far since I signed on to Wealthy Affiliate, and I wanted to share my thoughts on how the journey has been for me. I've always had the desire to be my own boss, be in control of my financial destiny and have enough time for my family, but I could never really figure out how to make those dreams become a reality, I had a turning point in my life where I knew when I reached retirement age, I didn't want to have any regrets when it came to my career, Loving what I did for a living would be a huge motivator in getting me out of bed in the morning and onto my wheel. I knew I loved food and cooking but I didn't want to cook or sell fine wine professionally til retirement. I also had a strong passion for health and nutrition and helping people and healing pain, so I 'retired' from the food and wine business and dedicated myself to becoming a expert in holistic nutrition and natural heath and the principles Eastern medicine and counseling. This spark of inspiration quickly turned into a brush fire and then a raging inferno...the more I learned, the more ravenous my appetite became to learn even more. I realized I had to ignite my passions and then harness them correctly in order to make all my dreams come true. I had the passion, the desire, the motivation - now I needed a tangible plan to really put the wheels in motion and forge ahead.

I also knew I needed a presence on the internet in order to get my face and my voice out there. I was learning some great things but I had to figure out a way to share my knowledge effectively. After researching lots of lead capture systems I started reading about how many scams there were out there. I didn't want to lose my money again, so that's how I found Wealthy Affiliate.

In the last 2 weeks I built my own website/blog, learned all about getting ranked on Google and gaining a following, and created a presence on Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest, Instagram for my business - something that I had only dreamed about doing for years! I knew it was necessary to jump-start my business and take me to the next level, but I also thought it was too complicated to learn and if I could ever afford it, I'd hire a web designer to help me create one. I have now done more in 2 weeks than most people do in a lifetime! I really see my dreams starting to take a definite shape, and that in itself is a HUGE motivator to get me out of bed. Tasting and savoring the small daily victories has me hungry for more...

Today I'm going to start on Course 3 - how to monetize my site and I can't wait to jump in. This is an exciting process - enjoy every moment and really take advantage of this special and unique WA community. The more you get involved and jump into discussions and webinars and posts, the more you will learn and the higher your credibility will go - it is definitely a win:win situation for you. Make the most of it and squeeze every last bit of knowledge from this site that you can - its so worth it.

I am incredibly grateful to Kyle and Carson, and the Ambassadors, and the entire WA community for making this 2 week journey one of the best trips of my life. And the best part is, it's just begun!
