Hi Everyone, my name is Johnie M. I am a mountain woman from the word go so why I've been in the flat lands is beyond me. I love horse back riding, canoeing, bird watching, camping, fishing. Then there's my 87 year old Mom who enjoys these activities just as much as I do despite her being in a wheelchair. I want to start a web site that will encourage others who are physically challenged to enjoy the great outdoors. It is our intention to analyze each campground in the State of Florida and the Federal parks within the State line of Florida.
I still intend to do this with this website, but I also want to write reviews of various camping equipment; along with providing a historical summery of each campground. As time goes by I get more ideas as to how I want this website to grow, this site is a work in progress. In addition to providing information concerning campgrounds and camping equipment, I'm also starting an area on this website will be exploring many natural amenities right here in Fort Myers and the surrounding South West area of Florida; helping people (especially those with physical challenges) that they don't have to travel hundreds of miles from home to enjoy themselves.
Be sure to check back often, and in closing I would like very much to invite my members to share their outdoor experiences here on our site.

Hello everyone,
I'm starting to promote WA by posting my affiliate link in FB along with other social media sites. I do have a question and it is this, can I copy and paste any text I find on the WA website to promote it?
It seems to me I read that I could do this, but I just want to make sure I won't be guilty of plegerism
Thanks in advance for your help

You should definitely share links (the white "Affiliate" button on top of all pages) but I wouldn't copy and paste full texts. You could copy a small portion maybe and put it in quotes, giving WA the credit and then lead them to the full article/training, using a link. I'm not quite sure what you'd want to copy and paste? Hope this helps answer your question.
Best,
Stephen

Hi Stephen,
Thank you, I feel much more comfortable re-wording the text that I want to use in my posts.
Of course the affiliate link would be mine. But thank you for giving me the idea about furnishing links to more information on a WA subject.

You're welcome Johnie.

And just as a future tip, the next time you have a question for the community, ask it by using the white search box on top of your page. Where it says "Need help Johnie?" This way everyone in the community will be able to see your question. I just happened to stumble upon it.

If you are serious about fostering a big cat I would definitely suggest that you would volunteer at a local zoo or wild life preserve first. You need to be trained on how to handle these animals and you have to obtain certain licenses. I was working as a freelance photographer at the time. The woman who was caring for Sammy brought him back to the Octagon because he was too much cat for her to handle,
And she was an experienced handler.
It would take a lot of time and dedication to learn how to safely care for these animals.

you know it's a great feeling to jump onto WA and see your world icon green and when you click on it you see you have 4,5 8 new followers yeah!!! but then I get flustered because I want to respond to each one by thanking them and returning the follow...is there any way to click on the whole group of new follows? Or is going into my network and talking to them individually my only option?

Yeah, it is a really cool feeling isn't it? We truly are a community here at WA and you have the ability to network with 100,000's of like minded folks here at WA. :)

To see all of your followers, you can just go to your network and see them. At this point we don't have a way to manually go and say hi to each of them other than contacting them through your network, but this is something that we can build on with a future update.

Hi Johnie!

Your situation is similar to mine. I live with my mom and am her full time caregiver as well. She is an aging recently widowed retiree. We recently lost my father 7 months ago and I moved where I am now to take care of her. I have to work online because that is the only way to increase our income.

Glad to meet another in my situation. :)

Hi Jeff,
I finally figured out what kind of a website I want. I want to have a site that anyilizes Florida State Park Campgrounds and the Feral Parks within Florida's state lines to see how easy or difficult the facilities is to use when an individual is in a wheelchair.

I want to be able to help people to deal with such challenges as lose dirt or sandy soil. Is the handicap bathroom stall and shower practically built? Like I said I will be aanyitizing how easy it would be for a wheelchair bound person to enjoy the campground.

In a way I had the same problem, I was 16 years old when I started to suffer from excruseating back pain, along with other weird symptoms that my doctor couldn't make any sense of. As you know back in the early 80's a patient had to be at least 25 before the doctors would consider MS. I've been busy pounding out some of the details of my site.

Your site will run but it will be more prone to spam. Askimet is a spam filter basically. Have you tried refreshing your email inbox? If not I would suggest that you go on the Askimet site, click on Help at the top menu bar. Then select that you've forget your API Key again. You will be asked to enter your email. If your page is saved in the editor do not worry. You published it, now go to Appearance, Menus and Add to menu. This will add the page to the current menu on the right side. If you do not have a menu then make one and make it current menu and then repeat as I said above. I think this is all explained in Kyle's lectures.

number one
I've written an about page for my website grannysgonecamping.com
and I'd like to get some opinions from the WA community before I publish it on my web. What is the best way for me to do that?

Number 2
I was using the Rapid Writer to compose my about page and when I went back to it there was an option to publish at Street Articles,
what is Street Articles?
Reply
ninjazrb Premium
1. Go ahead and publish it. You don't need to absolutely perfect your content before putting it out there. (Plus, you can change it again after publishing)

2. Street articles is something people used to use for getting quality backlinks. It doesn't do much anymore because backlinks don't matter anymore. Don't worry about it.
Reply
Johniem Premium
Am I correct in understanding that if I publish it now, then edit it later and publish again Google will index it again; therefore it would benefit fit me because Google will index it again?
Reply
ninjazrb Premium
If Google likes it better than your original then it will benefit you. Vise versa if Google likes the original better it will be bad. (And yes Google will "re index" it

Hello WA Community,
Mom and I got a great idea lastnight.
For quite some time we've had the idea documenting our camping adventures and gaining income through selling camping gear via affiliate links on our website.
But lastnight we came up with the idea of starting a non-profit organization for those who would love to do more outdoor activities, but lack the funds or know how to do so.

For example Mom and I would like to somehow get ourselves into a pick-up and 5th wheel unit, but we don't have the money to do so.
This is where I need help from the WA community.
Here's our idea:
We want to document our camping journey from here in Fort Myers, FL to SC, then on to NY then returning to FL by way of the Blue Ridge Mountains (all in a tent). The attraction or fasenation of this trip would be following an 88 year old woman in a wheelchair, during her adventures of living outside. Hopefully they would be moved to buy products from our site or out right donate money to further our adventure enabling us to move from a tent to a small trailer, then in time go from the trailer to a 5th wheel unit.

Then I'd like to continue to raise funds through grannysgonecamping.com to help others who are physically challenged realize their outdoor adventures.

Is this a pretty good outline of what I want?
Is there any body in WA that could help me figure out how to get started?
I'm open to any suggestions that anyone with experience with running a non-profit organization could give me.
Regards
Johnie

That sounds like a great idea actually. I just wrote a blog post about how to monetize your site in a different way. You don't always have to do affiliate sales to monetize your website. There are many different ways to do it. Thinking outside of the box will get you success.

I'd actually like to follow this journey and see how it turns out - as a website, a non-profit organization and as an actual journey. I'm gonna bookmark your website. I expect great things. :)

If I am not mistaken, I think Paypal gives people a receipt for their donation automatically through email. I will look that up and get back to you. I'm sure there are plenty of ways to do it without running yourself in circles.

Oh yeah Ol' Blue Eyes might have left his heart in San Francisco, but I left mine in a small mountain town nestled on the Yuba-Feather ridge of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Mom and I are still here in Florida because of the mild climate, and I can no longer enjoy many of the activities that I used to. One of my favorites was rock climbing free hand and repelling down cliff faces, so I'd rather remember what Clipper Mills was like for me in 1984 rather than be heart broken for all the things I can no longer do.
But there are still many things that my Mother and I can enjoy about the great outdoors, aand that's what I want to share with people on

Hey Shawn.
thank you for your timely help. I understand what is being said in the video, but I'm not getting the same results. In the video when Kyle clicks on the compedition the video shows google states as being 42 pages of about 42 out 412 results, but that's not how it shows on my computer. When I use the WA keyword search tool is all I get a list of articles on Google. Now when I use Jaaxy I get a QSR number...but that will force me to use Jaaxy rather than the free keyword tool in WA.
Now, I assume that I need to use the same technique to research how to write my text ads as I would to get my pages ranked in Google too?

One of the main places I'll be promoting WA is on the MAPS platform (My Advertising Pays System). I'm still trying to figure out what to do about the fact that my Google keyword searches are not coming up the same way they do on the video. I guess I will be forced to buy a Jaaxy membership.

I know normally you can make money from a blog by the author of the blog including their affiliate links in their blogs, but here WA you can't include links to whatever you are promoting. So again, how will I benefit from writing blogs here at WA?

Hi Johnie,

Blogging on WA isn't about affiliate links or making money, it's about sharing your experiences and successes with others.

As you progress along your journey towards your goals, it helps other people to see your success as that motivates them to keep going.

It's also a way to share tips/advice and so on.

Some people blog a lot, others now and then, either way it's your choice

Hope that makes sense

Best of luck with you business

Best wishes
John

Hi John,
yes your explanation was very helpful. I wanted to work on my website about camping first, but I have chronicly inflamed sternum and it has come back full force...and since I'm my Mother's care taker it would be impossible for us to go camping at this time; therefore I plan on developing my other website untappedgold.Com.
I just can't quite figure out what kind of website I want it to be. My first thought was to create a sight with my affiliate links on it, along with some text explaining how each affiliate works and of course encourage them to take action by signing up under me. But I want it to be more than just a link farm...but I don't know what else I want it to be. I want it to teach people how to devlop multiple streams of income, but that's what everyone and his brother is doing (of course I'd be teaching them as I was learning my self). I want my target audience to be physically challenge people who can make extra money at home by joining all of my affiliate links on the site and then promote untapped gold themselves.
Since individuals who are on disability don't have a lot of money to start up an online business, all of the links on my site would from free to no more than $10.
I just don't quite know where to go from here, so I'd appreciate any ideas you could share with me.
Regards
Johnie

I have a question about setting up the letters that are sent out to my referrals. What is the difference of setting up an account and not setting up an account. Where can I go on the WA site can I find good examples of letters to write.

My Mother and brother wanted to sign up under Meas affiliates so I clicked on the plane Icon and emailed them my affiliate link at the top of my page. But when they signed up I got a notice that they were following me, not that I had 2 new free affiliates why is that

Never mind I now see them in my referrals. Now I'm guessing that as soon as they sign up for premium it will count towards Las Vagas

I'very been working on the affiliate boot camp section all day and I just wanted to ask the community if I'm on the right track.
After reading and re-reading the info about targeting a market with keywords. I just need to know if I'm on the right track.
I chose the key phrase "physically disabled people" because it had 238 searches and 41 for traffic. I realize Kyle recommends 50 or higher for traffic but this phrase was the one that had the best combo of searches and traffic. Am I on the right track? This was only one phrase I chose. One more question, I assume that I should use the same keyword methods when I'm advertising via text ads?

Good evening Johnie:

May I clarify with you the phase and section numbers that you are on in the affiliate bootcamp training? Are the keywords "physically disabled people" relating to your promotion of the WA affiliate opportunity?

As to the keyword search, you are on the right track as to the searches being over 50 and QSR being less that 300. You have two of the three criteria. Now does your keywords make sense in promotion of the affiliate opportunity in the affiliate bootcamp training?

Please let me know if you have any questions Johnie. I am happy to help you! Best wishes!

Hey Wayne,
yes, I was diagnosed with MS in1985 and I currently take care of my Mother who has survived 2 strokes, so developing an online business is the only means of me bringing in extra income. I have been struggling to get of fun of disability ever since I started getting the checks, but I have found a 9 to 5 job is out of the question. But the more time I have spent on WA, the more I'm convinced that I can make a very good living helping others in my same situation. So yes my first niche will be helping other disabled individuals to start making money via the internet.

Oh, BTW what is the 3rd criteria for finding good keywords and keyword phrases?

I think I'm going to work on my website to promote WA first to get a cash flow...then I'll devlop my second website. So I'm going jump over to affiliate boot camp. My Premium payment is coming up fast and it will really stretch my budget....and it's already thin lol. So if I can get 2 quick WA Premium sign ups my membership will be free. Then I can move onto my second website that will be more of a labor of love. Anyway stay tuned.

I just wanted to take a few moments take a few moments to express my gratitude for this site. Here I can ask a question and I will get answer that will work. It is also very comforting to be in the company of others who share their struggles and rewards of running an online business. I haven't been too active here on WA, but that will be changing. I have been working to get my Internet payment system for the last few days. But I look forward to building my website and to continue to have pursue grow my business.

His name is Sammy he was six weeks old, and it is still one of the most member able moments of my life. I also got to work with 3 6 month old Siberian Tiger cubs, and another time I was able to work with a male Siberian Tiger weighing in at 1,000 labs. At the time I was a free lance photographer and the Octagon was by far my most fun client. I'll tell you about it sometime if you want to hear it.

Yes, it would be great to hear about it. I know it had to be very exciting!
Reply
Johniem Premium
Yes it was very exciting. Sammy was one of a kind as he was the one and only test tube Florida Panther. The State of Florida found it much more cheaper and practical to import wild cats from TX and CA to widen the gene pool. That's how few Florida Panthers are left that the scientists were getting concerned about interbreeding. I wish I had more pictures but the box containing them and my manuscript disappeared when I moved across town, but onward with my story. In 1997 I met Ronny and his brother and sister when they were about 6 months old. I had a photo assignment to photograph paraplegics interacting with exotic animals. So we were in the cage with these 3 Siberian Tiger cubs, and Ronny would not leave me alone. One way that a Siberian shows affection is to take an arm in it's mouth, no pressure they just put those massive teeth around your arm. Talk about unnerving and exhilarating at the same time!
Well at 6 months old Ronny couldn't get his little mouth around my arm so while keeping my arm dead still I ended up flicking his nose and telling him no bite, and he let go before breaking any skin. So, for the next year I couldn't go onto the Octagon property without going and saying hi to Ronny. It was about a year later when my then husband's family was over from Sweden for his 40th birthday party and I got a call from Pete (the owner of the Octagon, who has since passed on) that he had a sick Siberian and he wanted some last photos of him before he put him down. So we all took off for the Octagon and in the cage right next to the sick cat was Ronny. He started throwing such a fit that he was getting the other cat agitated we almost had to cancel the shoot. I told Pete that I thought if I went in to say hi to Ronny he wouldn't care about me working with the other cat. Then I had to ask my ex-husband to explain to his family about the arm in the mouth game and that they needed to be calm and quiet. His Mother walked away, but once I gave him some attention I was able to go into the other cat's cage with no problem. That was one of the last times I was out there but it was some of my most memorable times of my photography career.
