This is the question on every newbie's lips: Does Wealthy Affiliate Really Work or is it just another club where someone at the top earns money?

I have said it everywhere before: On my about page and several places in the Wealthy Affiliate community. If there is a 'one button program' or a 'make money today' program out there, I have tried it.

I was so fed up of all the lies and deceit but I still wanted to be a success online and badly so.

In many years gone by, I made perhaps a handful of sales in my life. You just cannot trust people always that promise you that his/her program really works.

Trust is earned and I am here today to report on my 2 and a half month progress here at Wealthy Affiliate and I am so happy that I finally am where I need to be.

So without further delay, here is my Wealthy Affiliate marketing progress:

Wealthy Affiliate marketing is what I call it; since I have not encountered another online marketing course quite like this. I am not sure that there is something out there that can match Wealthy Affiliate's training.

Less than 3 months ago I started as a brand new Wealthy Affiliate startup member. The friendly community here along with the training provided for free, really got me fired up and I signed up as a premium member in the same week.

But the impatient person in me started having doubts about 3 weeks in.

Of course the questions spun in my head: Does Wealthy Affiliate really work? What does it take to make money and how long? I mean - I have been working my butt off for 3 weeks straight now and nothing. Not to mention that Wealthy Affiliate wants me to build a website from scratch!

So I almost slipped up; wanting to skip through the lessons in search of the secret to success. Luckily I calmly decided to simply test this out and go through the lessons step by step. Nothing more and nothing less. Just do as I am told.

I have learned that there is no secret: It only requires time, effort and diligence. It is not hard to do. Then I made peace with the fact that there is no loophole or a magic button to press and things became much more bearable and peaceful.

I now worked at my own pace and started to enjoy writing articles.

Two months in, I started seeing the results slowly trickle in: Again - I was not supposed to jump the gun and look at my keyword rankings every day as I did; since this can discourage you and lead to analyze paralysis. But, it is all in the past now.

What I realized was that nothing in life happens overnight: Not your education to maybe find your dream job, not receiving that well-deserved promotion and not even good relationships.

Why should Wealthy Affiliate marketing be any different? So I simply kept on working.

Never before did I get lots of keywords indexed in Google in such a short time in my life! I have roughly 500 keywords indexed in Google and some in Bing. They range from position 1 to 200, but that is not the point. I have 500 keywords indexed. To me that was simply amazing.

Now for the exciting bit:

I have introduced 3 people into Wealthy Affiliate to date.

The person that signed up under my custom WA link on my Wealthy Affiliate Review page, really had me excited all day.

I will share this with you today but will probably only do this again if I am sure that I can do this consistently.

So here it is:

The above is for today's date - or yesterday depending on where you are in the world. Well, I am sure this is laughable for most doing Wealthy Affiliate marketing for a while now, but I am pretty stoked.

As your website slowly gain trust and authority (which takes time) your keywords will rank quicker and higher if you have done the keyword research and the work.

My tip: Don't rush. Understand the lessons and apply it to the tee. Don't skip lessons. Quality matters. It will on average take 3- to 6 months before you make your first dollar.

I already had a general understanding of SEO when I started here and worked with several SEO tools before - so really give yourself the time to learn and understand.

So: Does Wealthy Affiliate Really Work? You bet it does!
