The Black Dot
One day, a teacher entered the classroom and asked his students to prepare for a surprise test. They all waited anxiously at their desks for the test to begin. The teacher handed out the paper with the text facing down. The students turned over the papers to start. To everyone's surprise there were no questions - just a black dot in the centre of the sheet of paper.
The teacher, seeing the expression on everyone's faces said: "I want you to write about what you see there."
The students, confused, started on the inexplicable task. At the end, the teacher took back all the papers and started reading each one out loud. All of the students, with no exceptions, had written about the black dot.
The teacher said, " No-one wrote about the white part of the paper. Everyone focussed on the black dot."
And the same happens in our lives; we insist on focussing on the dark spot: sickness, poverty, relationship problems, personal hurts and disappointment etc. The dark spots are very small when compared to everything we have in our lives. Take your eyes away from the black dots in your life. Enjoy each one of your blessings, each moment that life gives you. Be happy and live your life filled with love!

The students were not wrong to see the dark spot, it's good to recognize it, but we we should focus more on the goodness of life and learn from the downsides.

People almost alway focus on negative to try to fix it.

You're absolutely right, it's so easy to concentrate on the negative things in life, I certainly choose not to and it's great you don't either - and I'm sure there's a ton of other people that think just like us!
