Not sure I can do this?

Building a website?

  • This is just too complex!
  • Lessons are over my head.
  • Blogging on WA? Don't think so!
  • Writing content for my site? Not!
Ever feel this way?
  • Hey... slow down! Take your time.
  • Rushing through the lessons just frustrates you more.
  • One lesson at a time.
  • Do the tasks in THAT lesson only... don't rush.
  • Choose your niche carefully, slowly... be patient.
Beware of empty promises!
  • Watch out for "quick buck" schemes.
  • Loads of promises on the internet for easy money.
  • The promises of someone doing it for you can be empty.
  • The lure of fast money is tempting, but fleeting!

I close with a quote from Norman Vincent Peale:

"Promises are like crying babies in a theater, they should be carried out at once."

Never, never, never over promise... over deliver instead.

I'm feeling exactly the way you described it. I thought I was going to jump right in a BAM be making money asap...NOT! I'm finding out that going slow is fast and going fast is broken. Even though I wish I can get through all the training at once I'm glad I'm not because there is sooo much to learn and I'm learning a lot!

Boy! is this true, I started out thinking also that it can be done for you and wasted 3,000 on one program! Only to find out that there was way too much stuff to keep up with. I was overwhelmed to say the least, and not to mention no help either, it was a disaster.

You're so right about the number of sites out there that promise quick money. I have a bad feeling that the only ones making money are those who are selling their programs. It's why choosing WA was a no-brainer for me. Kyle lets everyone know, upfront, that they're going to have to put in the work if they want to be successful.

I agree 100% this is extremely difficult, personally in 2 months, I haven't made it past lesson #7. I got stuck at writing a thousand-word blog, my deepest most sincere thoughts can be expressed in a 12-word tweet.

At least that's what writing has become today. Short reads, short replies, short attention spans. I'm going to get over this procrastination and use this platform as a learning tool.

Maybe, I should pre-qualify my summation? I started trying to make money online in 1999. Haven't gotten rich almost every website upgrade was a total negative to my balance sheet. I've maxed out credit cards, had to block, delete, and unsubscribe to hundreds of auto-pay upgrades, that I'd forgotten about until I finally noticed them on credit card statements.

However, please don't think it's been a waste of my time? Working online we develop communication skills and problem-solving abilities that transfer very well into real life.

Let me expound on that, while I've been failing at making money online, here are a few ways I've made money? Waiter, Bellman, Appliance salesperson and Walmart simultaneously (combined very good money), Realestate, Truck driving, Cab driving, college in between jobs (Pell grants and student loans), Went back to the Army in 2007, went to Iraq in 2009 (Big money).

Every job listed was after 2000, after my first foray into this time-wasting money pit some call "Internet Marketing"

There have also been some very positive outcomes in real life because that's actually what this is about? I spend a lot of time in my garden, around my house, always available for Medical appointments, an impromptu lunch date with my wife.

That's why or should be why we try to learn online. There's no get rich quick secret. The people who get rich learned something to do it, put it a lot of hard work, and often can be found teaching what they've learned like thousands of these internet marketing websites.

Edward, half your battle has been won, simply because you acknowledged you have a problem. Now, let's work on the other half. Instead of writing 10 short blogs, concentrate on writing a 500 word post. Then instead of writing 10 more short blogs, write a 750 word post. Keep doing that till you get the word count up to over 1,500 words.
You can do this. Write 100 words, take a break... leave it and next day, write 100 more to that one. Keep doing that every day you can until you get your numbers up.
You are going to make it.
