Living in the NOW!
Yep, it's been a while!
- I've been absent, without leave!
- Enjoying every minute of it!
- At age 83, I decided to slow down... really!
- So, I quit chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
- Decided to live in the here and now.
- Of course, I do miss the dialogue with my friends daily...
- I wrote a blog every day...
- Had 8... yes, 8 websites I was trying to keep spinning!
- Answered every post....
- Finally, my wife asked me... what are you doing?
- I didn't have an answer... so I stopped in my tracks and asked myself.
- Couldn't find the answer or reason.
Racing against the clock every day...
- Enough was enough... I made a decision... slow down... smell the roses!
- I cut my websites to 3... one for my church, my wife's business, and mine.
- Quit blogging every day... just hitting "like" on the blogs... not replying.
- Is this for everyone? Absolutely not... but it is for me.
- So, you' ee less of me, but I'm enjoying life in the NOW.
- I encourage each of you to follow your own path... do what is best for YOU!
I love this quote by Steve Maraboli:
"We're a species that rushes through everything, then complains that time flies"
Think about that.

Good to see you, my friend and great to hear that you're happy.
When we pull back from anything that we have given our all to, there's always the worry that we won't be able to fill the void that is left, then we wonder how we found the time in the first place.
Hello Joe,
It's great hearing from you!
Glad you are taking each day as it comes and living in the moment.
Once I finish revisions on my poetry book, I'll be slowing down as well.
Been running myself ragged lately and for what - a few dollars in commission money. You're absolutely right - it's not worth the stress.
Take care and Happy Valentines Day!
Barbara
I'm happy for you, Joe!
At the age of 83, that is already amazing! A lot of bonuses. You are right, enjoy the day of just relaxing, not much pressure. Time and life are precious; it's time to enjoy them.
A Happy Valentine's Day to you and the whole family!
All the best,
Joyce

Thanks for this post and explanation Joe!
I finally noticed you were not commenting on my posts and you were really consistent about that so I was a bit worried and this post explains why.
We all need to do what we each decide is necessary for our lives. That's the most important thing.
You will be missed!
Enjoy your new found way of living in the Now, Joe!
Take Care Always! :-)
Mel
Thanks Mel. Just overwhelmed.
